We had a wonderful stay at the Unico. Perfect hotel in an excellent location with a lovely garden in the centre of Madrid. The staff were all without exception, very welcoming, friendly and professional and really made the stay memorable. Special thanks to housekeeping team who found my engagement and wedding ring and to Paola at reception who made sure I didn’t leave without it! We’re eternally grateful!

I had a lovely stay at this very elegant, delightfully understated hotel in a wonderful location, with superlative staff. The room was a little small but, that being said, was very comfortable with an excellent bathroom (and bath tub). There was one curiosity, which was that the air conditioning did not work, apparently because (as I was told when I could not operate the system in my room to cool it down) in the Winter months, the system is set only to heat and not to cool. Still, the french window-doors in my room opened easily to let the cool air in whenever I needed, and so it was an amusing rather than a real problem. Altogether a very good stay.

The best location possible. It is in the best area of Madrid. It has an excellent restaurant, perfect for both business lunches and romantic dinners. The rooms are very cosy and the staff are charming.

Hotel Unico is a well located hotel with a nice breakfast and very kind staff. There are a couple of things to watch out for. I accidentally booked the room for one person, even though it was the same price to book for 2 people, with breakfast included. The hotel made me pay for breakfast for the second guest. So make sure you book for 2 guests. The Unico King Garden room we booked is pleasant and serene, but a bit small. Although we qualified for an upgrade to a larger room, the hotel advised that our room was better since it has two windows. The higher category apparently has slanted ceilings and less natural light. Overall, I enjoyed our stay, despite my surprise at the extra breakfast charge at checkout.

Located in the heart of Salamanca, you cannot find a better location than this in Madrid. 100% walkable area, the best boutiques and restaurants near by, beautiful property, excellent warm service and great breakfast. Totally recommended!

Not worth the hype! Hotel pretty basic for the price (old, very uncomfortable beds, amenities and buffet were pretty basic) Not what I would expect from a hotel this category and price. Would not recommend. Will not return.

Great location, luxurious, rooms snug, bad service
Prime location in Barrio de Salamanca, its clean, nice and luxurious. Great breakfast. Rooms are quite smaller than advertised, service is sub par, if you can avoid Hotel staff your experience will improve. Good for short trips with little luggage.

A really nice base in the Salamanca district of the city. Ready access to the underground system makes exploring Madrid's sights straightforward. Surroundings are opulent, rooms comfortable and staff are both helpful and friendly. Our only reservation was poor sound proofing between adjoining rooms.

The establishment used to be El Padre, now is called Ledbelly, same place in Serrano 45 under the stairs. Very lovely customer service but not impressed with the menu, actually a bit disappointing having my 20€ "entrecot" reduced to few cubes of meat.

Food was nice but the brunch was small. The quantity was barely nothing. We went out ok but 1h later we were starving. Its expensive for what they serve. I recommend Panela&Co, they have different kind of bread and you can choose any of them as much as you want.
