We stayed at Koggala Long Beach Resort for our office annual trip (38 pax, full board, beach-view rooms). Room rates were reasonable, food was very good as they operate as a 3-star hotel and staff service was excellent. Special thanks to Yashodha for handling the group booking and Manager Kavinda for the great support. Overall, a very good experience.

Location is very calm & quit. Rooms clean. Food is fine. Hotel team friendly & helpful. Value for money. Overall we can recommend this location to people who willing to have a good vacation.

A fantastic hotel right on the beach. We had a wonderful room with a view of the sea. A beautiful garden with a huge pool. The warm and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. We’d particularly like to mention Tarushi, Ahinsa and Thejani. We’ll never forget their service.

We have just returned from another great two weeks staying at The Fortress,Sri Lanka. There have been a few changes since we were there last in 2023. The restaurant area has been refurbished and there are now a Tepanyaki cooking area and an Italian and Japanese restaurant. We used Uber to get out on a couple of occasions but the tuk tuk drivers were not happy and were very intimidating to the drivers. The service was excellent, warm but not overly so. The environment is right by the sea, quiet and secluded, with a lagoon for swimming. The lagoon is full of small fish, occasionally some of them brightly colored. The infinity pool faces the southern Indian Ocean.

We had the perfect family retreat with KK in early January. From the very start we experienced the full calm of the beautiful surroundings and benefitted from excellent and attentive staff. Wonderful hotel. Very nice and clean. The tower room was very cozy, and the hotel grounds were large and beautiful, with a swimming pool. The staff was very polite. The breakfasts were delicious. The hotel is off the beaten track, perfect for a few quiet days.

We celebrated our first anniversary here and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The property is extremely peaceful and relaxing. The hosts went out of their way to arrange an eggless cake for us and provided delicious vegetarian food as per our preferences. Exceptional hospitality—would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Sri Lanka.

Tri is simply stunning. We had two sunset rooms, one with plunge pool for our 3 kids under 11. We spent the afternoons by or in the amazing pool and then used the hotel as a launch pad to get to the beach in Weligama for surfing, Ahangama, Kabbalana and Thalpe for restaurants, all within 15-20 mins. Koggala Beach Cabanas was an amazing experience for our December holidays. It was clean, hygienic and the staff was friendly too. The spa was a relaxing experience blended with local ayurveda. We would definitely recommend to any guests local or international.

It was a fabulous stay with good food, amazing service, great rooms and ambience. Sumudu and his team did an excellent job in taking care of us, we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

An old rather tired hotel but still retains a certain charm. Rooms were spacious and staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool and right on the beach with access to the sea. If you want somewhere quiet, and aren't too fussed about a modern looking hotel, this might just suit.
