The hotel is amazing! The room is big and tidy, the air conditioner is strong and the beds are very comfortable. Without prior requests, to our surprise, one more bed is arranged for the 3 of us. We enjoyed our stay , the view from our room was wonderful. the room was clean and comfortable, good style for a beach resort. Gorgeous little hotel nestled into the small town. The staff were all absolutely lovely, the hotel and rooms were all gorgeous, super clean, and comfortable. The room is clean and tidy, the balcony has an unbeatable view, and the ancient city is opposite. There is an infinity pool on the fourth floor, which is not big, but clean. Two very nice clean pool and sunbeds always available. The downside to this hotel is in my eyes they don't cater for UK citizens. Absolutely loved our stay here! Extremely clean rooms and beautiful pool area. Staff were so helpful and attentive! Steep hill to get into hotel but ring a bell and within a minute a tuk tuk arrives at the bottom to take you up so it’s no problem at all. So close to all restaurants / bars / cafes. The hotel is amazing! There is a swimming pool with unparalleled sunset views, and hermit crab children can be seen everywhere. The closest to you'll get to the wonderful Jungle Beach. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful, with TukTuks, doing our washing and getting the pool ready for our use. The garden is fantastic, as are the views out over the bay. Jungle Baech is a five minute walk away.

The Villa Baywatch is a very small hotel set in the most spectacular gardens. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and an ensuite with shower. They are equipped with tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge. The area is very quiet, a short walk to Jungle Beach and a tuktuk ride to Unawatatuna. Rooms are fabulous and the place is perfectly maintained. Excellent food, too. There's a beach, but sea too choppy to swim, and behind, a main road. Short rides to Unawatanu or to Thalpe itself if you aren't happy to just relax in a great place.

We came as a multigenerational group (12-82 in age) and were so well looked after by the team. The layout of the house works really well. The rooms are spacious but simple. This is a great destination, 10 minutes from the surf beaches, close to golf and 25 minutes to Galle. It is worth pointing out the sea by the house is very rough and not suitable for swimming, the swimming pool is really lovely...

Went for dinner at the restaurant and loved it. Lovely place right on the beach. We ordered a burger and a pizza. Unfortunately my burger was a bit overcooked the first time but our waiter (in the green shirt) fixed this by bringing out a fresh burger which I found to be 100x better. We stayed there for 2 nights . It was a super nice experience! Very new, modern and clean room. Nicely furnished! Great view from the balcony . The service was like in a 5 star hotel, they were constantly pampering us. Almost a little too much..😃 Also the breakfast they serve was very delicious . The place is a very nice base to explore the city and it’s surrounding.

I stayed at The Waves on Unawatuna beach for 15 nights and had an excellent stay. The staff are all welcoming and friendly, attentive but without being overly intrusive. The room was large, with air con and lots of light, thick curtains for nighttime, a large bed with clean and very comfortable bedding, sofa, large TV and a fridge. Great place with fantastic views. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Very clean, modern and the bed is very comfortable. Great shower and bathroom. Large tv, tea coffee facilities. Towels hair dryer etc, everything you need. We are a hotel owners in the uk and would highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay at The Waves. Our room was only a few steps from the beach, and the restaurant was placed right on the beach. The staff was very helpful through our stay. The location itself is a reason to recommend staying at The Waves. Overall a great hotel.:)

We stayed in a budget room, which suited us fine. It was air-conditioned and had a small terrace we could sit out on. An advantage of the budget rooms is that they are near the restaurant so you get full strength Wi-Fi in them. The building and gardens offered a fabulous oasis in a rather over developed and busy resort. The pool was big and there were sufficient sun loungers most of the time but...

This place is stunning in terms of the substance and beauty of the building and garden. And the peace that it offers in the midst of the Moscow suburb that is the rest of Unawatuna was fantastic. Wow the hotel is more of heritage been frozen in times. Good place with all the modern amenities. Peaceful place for family and friends. Lot of mosquitoes but that’s not their problem, carry mosquito repellants with you. Good food and pool to relax.

I had a lovely stay; the location is super, the staff very friendly, good breakfast & lovely pool! The oasis of the garden offers a quiet break from the busy town & streets. Walking distance from the restaurants, beach, supermarket & shops. I would not hesitate to book again!

We spent 3weeks in Sri Lanka and stayed in several hotels- Elisyum was the BEST for sure. Villa, location, service snd food really great! Swimming pool is large and comfortable. Hotel is small and delicios, you feel like at your own villa. Ocean view is fantastic.service is invisible and immediate

One of the nicest places we stayed in Sri Lanka in terms of value. Rooms are simply fantastic - excellent size, well designed. The land has direct access to the ocean and a little beach in front of it. Also has a great gym. Food is excellent here. Service is the absolutely best.
