Tri Hotel in Koggala

Our experience at Tri Ahangama was a complete disappointment, especially after coming from the exceptional standards of Maya Tangalle. Service was shockingly poor. There was a clear lack of attention, responsiveness, and basic hospitality. For a property that positions itself as a premium stay, this was unacceptable. The food was another major letdown — excessively spicy to the point of being unpleasant, and nowhere near the quality or taste one would expect. It felt careless rather than curated. Hygiene standards were also questionable. Plates were not properly cleaned and had a noticeable bad smell, which is simply unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one of this category. While the rooms were spacious and visually decent, they lacked even the most basic amenities. No toothbrush, no proper in-room phone to contact reception — instead, a mobile phone was provided, which was not reachable after 10 PM. This left us completely stranded with no support when needed. To make matters worse, there is no room service and no in-room dining option, which significantly impacts comfort and convenience. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Poor service, substandard food, questionable hygiene, and lack of basic amenities make it difficult to recommend this property to anyone seeking a comfortable or premium experience.
