We had a truly great weekend at South Beach. The food was delicious, the place itself was beautiful and relaxing, and the service provided by the staff was excellent.
A special thank you to Niroshan and Nethsara for their service. Also, Mr. Jude was extremely friendly and helpful, which made our experience even more pleasant.
Overall, it was a lovely and memorable stay. Highly recommended! 😇

Excellent service with a friendly staff. Specially Niroshan and Nipun at the restaurant are very supportive giving their best. The Executive Chef Chamara is very keen to make sure arrangements at the restaurant and foods are at their best. A special mention about Chamuditha, F&B Executive and Thilan, Front Office Executive, for their attentive approach. The hotel is a calm and serene place. Better for relaxing. I had a good time with my family

I really enjoyed the food — it was very delicious. I visited with my Australian guests, and they also enjoyed the meal very much. They were happy to experience such tasty and authentic food in Sri Lanka and said it was extremely flavorful and delicious.

The environment is very pleasant and relaxed, a perfect place to enjoy a meal freely. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

Anyone looking for good food in the area, I highly recommend Water Front Restaurant.

A Wonderful Stay – Truly Felt Like Home

We absolutely loved our stay at The South Beach Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.

The girls at reception were always smiling and incredibly friendly. Their warmth made every day start beautifully. A special thank you to the Residence Manager, Jude, who truly went the extra mile to help us in every possible way. His attention, professionalism and willingness to assist made a real difference to our experience.

All the staff deserve appreciation — housekeeping, the bar team and everyone working behind the scenes.

And especially Tharindu at breakfast at the Waterfront. He made us feel comfortable and served us with kindness, efficiency and a big smile. At breakfast Hirushan prepared each morning our omelettes. With his big smile and you could see he really wanted to make us feel good.

Today is our last full day and night here, and we leave with wonderful memories. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Great location with across the road beach access. It can be a great base for visiting all the beaches aroond and Galle forte. Rooms are nice and spacious. House keeping needs a little improvement but that’s it, all other aspects are excellent. Food was amazing. Being Jains we had difficulty in finding jain food elsewhere but here the chef ( Mr Madushan) was more than willing to help us customise and made homely delicious food for us. Pool was clean and train sound from nearby tracks was not at all an issue unless you are a really light sleep person. Kuddos to the team and will highly recommend others to choose this resort

Loved their crab curry and red prawn curry. Food is yummy. The rooms are spacious and there are two pools. Staff is really nice and helpful.

Spent a night at South Lake Resort on half board basis. Room name was 'Olu'. Very spacious and a comfortable room. Interior lighting and conditions were really good and liked it. Amenities were good. Booking and check in process was smooth. No paper fillings as we had submitted our details on line prior to visit. Liked it too.

However the meals were not so good. Even though they offer 'All you can eat' buffet, the meal varieties were limited. Couldn't find much freedom of choice there in both dinner and breakfast. Some of the items of the buffet were not adequately filled when those were consumed and the late comers had to take what was left by early comers. Staff were friendly and supportive. Overall experience was average. Despite that, recommending to experience the hotel comfort and surrounding. Hope the hotel management will seriously look in to the meal buffet and improve the quality.

A small quiet cozy hotel away from noisy streets. It is located between two settlements. To the ocean 70 m. Houses of two rooms on the shore of an artificial reservoir. There is a restaurant and a swimming pool. The hotel is guarded. Rooms are cleaned daily. The staff is friendly, speaks English. There are no Russian speakers.

The perfect example of true hospitality ! The staff (10/10) went above and beyond to make our stay more pleasant. The rooms (10/10) were nice and clean. 100m to the beach 🌊This hotel is highly recommended for anyone visiting the south of 🇱🇰.
