The hotel is very well located, just in front of the Ocean. The beach there is large, very beautiful and peaceful. In the rooms you have everything you need but the bathroom needs deep cleaning and renovation. 5+++ for people working there, for breakfast and for fresh bottles of water every day. Room service is every day too. There are good cafes nearby where you can eat fresh fish. Public transport or tuk-tuk maybe taken just next to the hotel. Around the hotel you can meet Chathu, a guy that can organise you good excursions at good price, tuk-tuk and everything you might need.

Amazing staff, very good breakfast, outstanding view and sunsets, public beach feels like private . Special thanks to menager Karu who made our stay very comfortable and for big hearted security men Jagath . Pool was clean in beautiful garden and rooms cleaned every day if you wished

The location of the hotel is perfect, just at the beach and we always hear the sound of ocean. The breakfast is delicious; people are very friendly and helpful, especially Tharindu - he is very positive, gentle and always ready to help. The rooms are cleaned every day, also they give fresh bottle of water daily. The building itself is old and need reparation but if you don't plan to spend too much time in the room you shouldn't care about. I recommend considering the price and quality they provide.

A nice hotel with all the necessary that is required for vacation. It's not a luxury one, but for the price required they do their best. Rooms are cleaned every day, there are no insects inside. Staff is very friendly and always help, especially Tharindu and Silva. Sometimes water flow is slightly slow, but not always.

Everything is falling apart, the rooms are not cleaned, beer was left in the refrigerator, and was not found the next day. There is no infrastructure around the hotel, even for water you have to go by tuk. The ocean is certainly beautiful, but besides it there is nothing else here.

The hotel simply stands on its word of honor, in fact the hotel is undergoing renovations, they can paint, dig, knock off paint, etc. in front of your door. The restaurant is destroyed and does not work; food is served at a nearby hotel. There are a lot of mosquitoes, they bite so hard that the bites still hurt. The hotel does not take any action (for example, install spirals or fumetoxins at the reception, because Wi-Fi is only there and you often have to sit in the evening). Room cleaning is available upon request, but this request can hang on the door for up to 2 days (apparently when the cleaner has a day off). Hot water appeared only after numerous requests from guests and repair work. The plumbing leaves much to be desired; the tap may remain in your hand. The lights are turned off periodically, either only in the hotel or in the entire village. Pros: Very beautiful, quiet beach and endless coastline. The villas (we paid extra to move from the building) are right on the shore. If you choose a calm, quiet, measured vacation, then Kogalla is just the place for you. After sunset, silence, darkness and peace. They provide a bottle of water per person every day. In general, I do not recommend this hotel to any of my friends, simply because of the discomfort in everyday life. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Visited the place on last weekend of March, 2019. View and the environment is awesome. However, they really need to improve on their food and beverage including the restaurant. Cleanliness of the dining equipment were below expectation. Most plates and glasses were chipped as they had expired their life span soooo long ago. Meals did not had any variety and if you are expecting good food, this is certainly not the place for you. Guys handling the food were like people working in a charcoal mine. Their white dresses really needed to go through laundry. However, if you wish to enjoy the shores, you are lucky.

Good place to visit, but nowadays not well maintained (maybe covid situation).

Very simple but nice hotel. You have everything you need in the room: clean wide bed, shower with hot water, cooler, electric tea pot and free tea+water. The cleaning is done every day. The beach is nice and wide. Personal is polite and always tries to help. Right near the gates is a bus stop so you can go to the city, for example Galle. The swimming pool is also great and clean.

What an amazing place to be in an evening by the sea . Never fo forget ask for a beach bungalow when you make your reservation. Beach Bungalows are conveniently placed right by the sea and are the newest addition to the hotel. If you are travelling from Colombo the most convenient way to get to the hotel is to access the Southern Express Highway which will not take more than an hour to galle. The hotel has a very large clean swimming pool and a bar next to it. During the Rough sea season The Room rates might look very low but beware if you really want to experience the waves of the beach or perfect sundown while lying on the beach do not make your reservation during the Seasons when the sea is rough. Even though The Room rates are low you can't really access the beach due to the reason the sea being rough.

I think it's 3 star hotel. Less crowded. Pool is clean but over chlorinated. Rooms are clean. Breakfast buffet did not have much varieties but food was tasty. Dinner we ordered room service alacarte. Big portions and tasty. Book sea view rooms. Those got a nice view. Calm and quiet place.
