First line, it's comfortable to watch the sea from the sun loungers, or from the pool, or watch the sunset from the rooftop. There are squirrels or chipmunks, monitor lizards, and birds running around the hotel grounds, which is lovely. The room was standard, but there wasn't enough bottled water. The hotel's restaurant has decent food; try the seafood platter for 3500 rupees. The pineapple juice was watery and seemed diluted, but the breakfast was a pleasant surprise: pancakes with chocolate, fruit, coffee, and toast.

The service was top notch, the staff members were very helpful and professional. The room was clean and spacious. The location was convenient as it was about a 15-20 min drive from the airport, and there are quite a few eateries walking distance.

The hotel is a little far from the fish market. But it has its own swimming pool and beach near the sea. The hotel and sea view rooms have good views, but the sea water is not very blue these days.
The room is generally unsatisfactory, because it is also near the sea, so there is always a damp feeling. And there is no quilt, just a quilt cover.
The air conditioner is old and noisy, and I almost couldn't sleep at night.
There is no free bottled water in the room. If you want to drink water, you can only buy a bottle at the front desk for 320 rupees.
But Lanka's service is pretty good, and the locals feel quite enthusiastic. So this hotel has many European and American white people staying.

It was a very pleasant stay and great rooftop bar.
Drinking water bottle refill station on each floor was a great idea.

Lovely hotel with great views over the beach. The rooms are fairly basic but for the price are great value and the beds are comfortable. Thanks for the stay, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again…
