Gomez Place in Negombo

I had a wonderful time at Gomez Place. I had 3 days at the end of my trip and wanted an oasis to relax in before I flew home - this was the perfect place for it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, it's definitely a place for the personal touch! The gardens and pool are stunning and well-maintained and the room was huge, with a lovely patio outside. It's about 5 minutes walk from the beach. I had some lovely chats with other guests too, so a social place if you want it to be! I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

We booked as it had a good review. On arrival we thought the rooms were a bit dated but everything went up from there. The grounds are lovely, nice and intimate, the staff were fantastic and Mr Gomez greeted us at breakfast every morning. You will get offered eggs for breakfast but you can ask for a menu but limited offerings. having said that the eggs/omelette were fine for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would stay again.

A very atmospheric place!!! This is probably not a hotel. More likely, it looks like a guest house, like in our south))) There is no grounds as such, but there is a spacious, well-kept and very green courtyard, with paths, flower beds, and sitting areas. Lots of greenery. Various types of houses, of varying heights, line the paths. Like a small and cute village))) Very fabulous. It's a pity that my stay was limited to only one night. I chose this hotel because of the price of the room and its proximity to the airport, 20 minutes by taxi. I flew out early in the morning. The owner is very friendly and nice, always greets guests personally, is always ready to communicate and does it with great pleasure. Regarding the location of the hotel: yes, it's not on the front line, and not on the main street, a little further back. This adds to the charm of this place. The street with cafes and the beach is a leisurely 7-minute walk. You go out to the beach, and there is a super ocean!!! It really feels like something great, I haven't experienced anything like this on other beaches on the island. The infrastructure is fantastic!!! Lots of cafes of all kinds and levels, all with great prices!!! We'll definitely plan more days in Negombo on our next trip))) And I'll definitely stay at Gomez Place!!! About the room. I had a very spacious room with a huge en-suite bathroom and a furnished balcony. The room had everything you need: a safe, furniture, complimentary water, and a minibar with a variety of drinks at a minimal price. The only downside I'd probably note is the lack of an on-site cafe, so you could sit in the courtyard and enjoy some tasty treats. Please wait for me again!!!

Great place to stay. Staff were very good and helpful. The breakfast was good. Room size was spacious and it was great to have a choice of AC or calling fan. Great to having a working smart TB too. Choice of minibar options was perfect and at reasonable cost. Pool area was clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

It was great; I just gave my name and checked in. There was also a very beautiful garden.

It's under 500 yuan, you can stay there, but those who like hotel-style accommodations might not like it.

Phenomenal place to start our Sri Lanka trip! Me and my friend stayed here and were so well taken care of. Airport pickup was smooth and welcoming. Mr. Gomez is very helpful. Rooms are large, comfortable and homely. The gardens are beautiful. We will be back!

Very best small boutique hotel near the beach, the bars and restaurants in Negombo Beach. Lovely garden and swimming pool as well. Smiling and helpful team onboard.
