We absolutely loved our stay at the Bluewater Beach resort. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and our room was spacious, very clean with Aircon and a fan. The swimming pool is pristine and there are beautiful palm trees in the garden and a covered area with sun lounges to give you some welcome shade during the hotter parts of the day. For us, it was nice and quiet in the evenings and we just enjoyed sitting on our Private deck area watching the world go by The hotel is conveniently located with most amenities close by. It is a short walk to Upavelli Beach where it is safe to swim and there are numerous bars and restaurants along the beach. There is a Life Guard Tower on the beach but the guy seemed to be asleep most of the time so don’t bank on a quick rescue. We will definitely be coming back here to stay😀

Spacious rooms. Clean. Hot water. Pool was clean and refreshing. Air conditioning good. Owner was upfront about cash payments. Accommodating to stay an additional night at late notice. On the main drag but walking distance (or tuk tuk) to lots of eateries and beach. Ate at Fernando's Beach area which was fantastic.

The place is not so clean with stains on the bedsheet, and black spots around electric outlets. The facilities are visibly old. The staff is rude to us and not welcoming/understanding at all. They are very inflexible. At the check-out, they declined even to let us keep our luggages for a few more hours (which won't change anything for them but could save us from walking around with the luggages). We were also forbidden from the common area once checked out at 10am. In their own word, "now you checked out, the rule is that you have to leave the entire hotel area". We had to eventually leave and find another hotel where we can keep our luggage and stay until we leave Trinco. In a word, we didn't feel respected or taken care of at all by the hotel. This is very different from what we experienced in other hotels/guesthouses in Sri Lanka.

Bluewater Beach Resort is on the main road heading north, short walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. Super friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, reasonably priced and an AMAZING pool! Highly recommend this little slice of heaven!

Loved our stay at the Bluewater Resort. The location was great for access to the beach and local restaurants. The pool at the resort was exceptionally clean and inviting. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely stay again

Rooms were very spacious. Very big beautiful pool. expansive sea beach. But bed Linen was substandard. room service poor. making money on drinking water, Bar staff was hostile attending to us but very courteous to other nationals.
