Welcome to Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Nice hotel with great swimming pool. Hotel is close to the beach, you can walk there very fast. Service was good, friendly and kind staff with great English language skills. My friend and she's family really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Swimming pool, also to childrens pool was very nice size and well maintained, very clean water and surrounding.

The staff is extremely friendly! They were always helpful! The location is also good, just 5 minutes from the beach!
But the rooms are unfortunately very outdated, and the bathroom really smelled of sewage. The bed was also uncomfortable. And the room wasn't cleaned during our stay.
We would book the hotel again because of the location and the friendly staff.

The location was perfect, about a 3-minute walk to the beach. There are shops nearby, so this is the perfect hotel for a relaxing beachside stay. The room was clean, but it would have been better if there were more amenities, such as a hairdryer.

I visited this place with my wife in July 2025. We were travelling to Trinco for 2 days. We were running late so we contacted the property. They asked us the approximate time we would take to reach the place and informed us that they would keep the a/c on an hour before we reach so we would be comfortable on arrival. This one act of service is where I would start off my opinion of this place. Here the service is something other hotels need to ponder upon. The staff are very friendly. They make sure to find out our needs and try to resolve it asap. They helped us find a good deal for snorkeling in Pidgeon island, they prepared a special Sri Lankan style breakfast and lunch on our request, they arranged transport for us in the early hours of the morning (Pickme/Uber was not responding at that time) at the last moment with no extra charge and so on. The friendly service and attention to our care really touched us and made our trip more memorable. In respect to the rooms, there is some aspects that need attention. Shower Plumbing, exhaust were issues, itsy bitsy details missing that would otherwise perfect the stay there. But the room was neat, washroom was clean, moderately sound insulated room. The basic facilities needed in a 3-4 star room were met. The pool was small but ok, but if you are spending your time around Alles Garden and the beach, the pool is irrelevant. I would say that, I really enjoyed my stay there. I really thank the staff there. I hope you continue to provide such wonderful service and hopefully if fate gives us a chance, we would definitely visit the property again. Thank you Havana Club.

This property only deserves a 2 star. It’s expensive for what they offer. The rooms are very tired and not clean. The beds are hard. Pool was ok but no shade , sun lounge are a hazard. It was so noisy from restaurant across the road. Meant to stay two nights, left after one. Only plus is that staff are lovely and it’s close to the beach.

Bathroom, - shower with hot water. Kettle teabags etc. Good WiFi. Close to restaurants and bars. Generally very pleasant and good value for money. Staff friendly and efficient.

Amazing hotel with so nice and kind people. They treat you like a family. Hotel is so close to the beach, aprox 3min by foot. Room is very clean and comfortable. Hotel provide beach towels. Hotel have a nice pool. They serve breakfast every morning. Breakfast is fabulous, every morning they serve freshly juices (papaya, mango, passion fruit, pineapple), scrambled eggs, pancakes (rice or coconuts), some local dishes ( sorry, but I a am forgot the name), fresh fruits, coffee and tea, avocado, marmalade with butter and much more. Food is so delicious. They prepare dinner for us, few time, and dinner was amazing. For dinner they made fish or curry, depends what you want. The menager is excellent, he does a good job. We staying 12 days, and they arranged for us, a free trip to Marble beach, it was amazing experience. Hotel is very clean. If you choose this hotel, you will not regret it. I had the best service in this hotel so far, and I have stayed in many hotels. Last but not least, last day, manager mother made cookies for us, for the trip. ❤️ Like I am said, I never feel kindness like in this hotel. Thank you team for everything, you are amazing. I hope so we will see again!

I had a wonderful experience at the Havana Club Resort. The rooms were clean, wonderful and comfortable. Specially thanks for the amazing food. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The staff is incredibly helpful and always willing to help. I highly recommend this hotel.

Located close to Trincomalee town. Average hotel with AC rooms, No TV facilities. All main meals provided by out source restaurant. Rooms were clean but no sanity items were provided. (They said because due to COVID-19). Steward is a good person and very helpful person. They have very big swimming pool and it's worth staying.
