Best Western Solhem Hotel in Visby

The room was very stuffy, especially in the evenings, since the room is located on the western side and when the sun went down after lunch it was very hot. We had to open the windows and doors and create a draft which was not very comfortable to do in the evenings since insects would fly in. The room was in a separate building. As I understand, it was a residential building before and the hotel simply bought the house. The room was very small. The bathroom was opposite the bed. If my husband came out of the bathroom and I was next to the bed, I had to go to another place to let him pass. There was no wardrobe at all in the room. There was some kind of recess in the wall disguised as a wardrobe. There were two shelves, but they were so high that a person 1.60 tall simply could not reach them. But there was a table there that did not serve any function. Instead of this table, you could put a chest of drawers, and you could put a kettle on this chest of drawers and there would be shelves available. But half of my stuff was stored in a suitcase. It's good that we stayed there only 3 days and I survived this inconvenience. In general, shame on the hotel. The hotel charges so much money for accommodation, I paid 4500 SEK or 450 euros for 3 days for a small closet where there is not even a chest of drawers. I lived in the room 224.
