Best Western Strand Hotel in Visby

The hotel is conveniently located in the old town; aside from needing a taxi to and from the airport, most other areas are within walking distance. The overall design is retro and has a lived-in feel. The hotel features an outdoor garden and bar, but unfortunately, the weather was bad on the day we stayed, so we didn't have a chance to use them. There are many clean and convenient restrooms in the public areas, which was a big plus! The gym is located further inside and is fully equipped. In addition to the standard Scandinavian sauna, there's a lounge for ironing clothes and a separate luggage storage room with a lockable door. The room we stayed in was spacious and well-ventilated. While the furniture was a bit old, it was clean and tidy, making it the best night's rest we had in all our trip! The hotel staff, from the receptionist and bartender to the restaurant servers and room cleaners, were all very friendly and patiently helpful with any questions. The breakfast was also good; the orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the dining environment was pleasant. It must be said that this hotel wasn't the most expensive during our trip, but it was the most comfortable and had the highest overall satisfaction among all guests.


P.S. I went through my phone and realized I didn't take many pictures of the hotel; I was too busy experiencing it. The only one I have is a quick corner photo I snapped while waiting for the elevator because I thought the greenery and background were really nice.

Great location in a safe area for tourists. All amenities are close by, with great dining options a short walking distance from the hotel.

Good hotel in good location
Stayed in a family room which distinctly smaller than the photos on booking site. Stayed in July when the room was very hot - no a/c. Decent condition of the room. We really enjoyed the swimming pool / relax area and excellent breakfast. Good location with easy walking distance to sights in Visby old town and close to the sea front. Parking was not included and rather expensive.

Friendly and welcoming staff, great location and some rooms have ocean views. I was lucky to get such a room, a nice single with a cozy atmosphere too. Very close to elevator and staircase and no soundproof doors. All in all I would stay again.

The service of hotel is very good, the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic, and the breakfast at the hotel is also delicious. Furthermore, the hotel room was very comfortable to stay in, with good scenery and close proximity to the bench.

Very good, the environment on the island is very good, the hotel has someone cleaning every day, the bathroom is relatively large, and there is a hair dryer. The hotel facilities are very complete, the breakfast is also very delicious, I will go again next time

Relaxing, nice pool recommend having a beer in the library with their chesterfield leather chairs. Also nice 5 min walk to the sea view
