The location and view were outstanding, big snow clad mountains right outside the window were fab. A bit uphill but perfect. Its an old and rich swiss cottage maintained really well.

A wonderful location for holidays and adventurous trips in the Grindelwald area. The rooms are very spacious, the food lovely and the facilities good.

Train station about 20-25min walk away.
If you're skiing- take the bus into the village. Don't try to walk it, its too far!

Good bedrooms, nice crew, food okay. Noisy eating room, no 'youth hostel atmosphere'. 10 min. walk to town.

A very beautiful hostel for those who needs a place only to sleep ?. It is a new hostel and very clean . They offer a free healthy breakfast ? daily with fresh coffee ☕️ and juice. I really loved the view from outside chairs while eating breakfast ?. See the view from the picture I have added ?✋️.

Clean rooms but you have to make your own bed. Water is solar heated to reduce carbon footprint. Parking is 7chf per night.

Grindelwald Youth Hostel offers a clean, comfortable stay with amazing mountain views and very friendly staff. The shower had steady hot water, and the hostel is easy to reach by taking bus No. 122 from the main station. The room did not have a hairdryer, but one could be borrowed for a 10 EUR cash deposit, which was refunded at check-out. Although the hostel is a bit uphill and not the easiest to reach, the peaceful atmosphere and good value make it worthwhile.

Check-in and check-out times are quite limited, I think from 4 PM to 10 AM. It's a hostel, and the room was pretty spacious with heating. It's located on a hill, so you have to take the bus up, otherwise, walking would be exhausting. The bus service ends at 6 PM. Breakfast was good, I'd even say quite generous.

The room was beautiful and cozy, with lovely decor, and we could see the Eiger mountain right from our window. For Switzerland, this price offers excellent value for money. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of choices. The only thing to note is that the hotel is located on the mountaintop. It's best to take public transport up and down. If you miss the last bus at 6 PM, make sure to select the driving route on Google Maps to go up the mountain, as it's much better than walking. I wouldn't recommend walking if you're not in good physical shape.
