It was a real pleasure to stay at the Alpenkrauter-Baren. The room is spacious, clean, luminous and I had a great view on the mountains. The staff is welcoming and helpful and provide a truly friendly service. Excellent price/quality ratio.

We stayed there on a half board base. Food is creative and excellent and even half board have a large choice (with reasonable price additions for a few specific choices).

Thank you to the hotel family leadership and the whole team.

My wife and I just stayed at Hotel Baren for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The staff was so friendly, and Baren really has an authentic small inn feel. The view from the balcony, the cozy bed, the helpful staff, the great location and having a tremendous restaurant downstairs. Everything was just exceptional.

When the Wengen locals hear where you are staying they always respond with how lovely the owners are and what a great inn they have. And of course, that it's the best food in town.

We stayed here for 5 nights and had such a pleasant stay.
Pro:
-Location is great
-Rooms were clean n tidy
-Staff were friendly and helpful
-View of the room was amazing
-Shared mini bar/ fridge
-7 to 8 minutes walk from train station
On our checkout they offered a car to drop our luggages to the trains station which was such a great help.
-family friendly as there is a playground

Cons:
Cupboards or cabinet to store clothes.

Highly recommend it 👌

My best friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in October to go hiking. It was a highlight of our 10 day trip to Switzerland! The staff were very kind and gave us good advice on hiking routes and transport. The restaurant was outstanding (we had breakfast and dinner there each day), incorporating local ingredients with a focus on Alpine herbs. The room was clean and equipped with a hot water kettle and espresso maker, a large bathroom with a nice hot shower, and had some sweet extras like a Swiss chocolate bar and some Ricolas. We adored Wengen and this hotel in particular. Thank you!

I stayed for two incredible nights at this hotel. The room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Make sure to get a reservation for dinner. *Chef’s kiss* The view from my first-floor balcony was breathtaking. Note: the balcony rooms are not private, but, hey, talk to your neighbor and make a new friend!

We stayed at the hotel but the real gem is the restaurant. It’s all around fantastic, the view and food combined at dinner time is amazing. Cozy and romantic. Definitely recommend it!

Nice Hotel with beautiful mountain view. The rooms were clean and nicely made up for the guest. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Had a dinner here. Very romantic spot 💕 with wonderful scenery of alps. Food was great. Staffs were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Love to come back again.

The place needs advanced booking during peak season, otherwise, it might be hard to get a table with walk in :)
