Overnight stop on journey through Europe Just what we needed in terms of type of hotel, parking and location close to the river and restaurants. Breakfast was good value.

Value for money simple, clean and more than adequete for business and solo traveller. transportation is easy ( 5 minutes walk to tram station direct to Basel). Save £££ copmare to Basel with a tiny room

Everything you need for a brief stay Everything I needed. Trams into the city were very regular from 10 min walk. Friendly landlords. Plenty of shops. Value for money

A nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Well worth the money.

The hotel in itself isnt the best. But the location, the in house restaurant and the personal compensate for the shortcomings

Great hotel for when you are passing through. Located on an industrial estate just behind the border control with Switzerland. As a result, you can already hear trucks driving past around 5 am. Room was small, hot/stuffy (it was also 30+ degrees outside, no airco inside) but clean. Good breakfast, friendly staff. If you are looking for a hotel for several days, I would look further.

Perfect hidden gem! Small hotel, friendly staff, fresh breakfast, clean rooms, across from a grocery store (Lidl), close enough to Basel without paying Swiss prices.

Good value great location visit Switzerland for day and coming back instead of paying outrageous Swiss hotel rates

We stayed at Go2Bed for 2 nights over the weekend and can highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. The rooms are well equipped, the neighborhood is quiet and the breakfast is amazing (especially value for money). Coupled with the super friendly staff this hotel would deserve 6 stars out of 5!! We will definitely be back.

Very cozy with complimentary coffee, pop, and beer 24 hours. Incredible breakfast included. Friendly staff. This place is a must if you are staying in Germany and traveling to Switzerland and France.

Very nice, clean, comfortabel hotel

The staff were ever so helpful. A lot of the staff spoke multiple languages, which helped a lot. (I am only English speaking) Catered for gluten free and offered oat and soya milk. Fully stocked fridge with beer, water and soft drinks. 5 mins walk from the highstreet. 20 min walk to vitra museum. Only rated 4/5 for condition because there was ongoing maintenance which I wasn’t aware of....

Happy to recommend Lovely small hotel in a quiet residencial area with easy assess by bus to Basel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and very well presented. Happy to visit again.

Not as good as the one at Zurich airport. Capsule good, but could hear all noise well. Only few bathrooms. Not ling walk to Basel train station

A really nice experience especially since we were lots of people going to the same great event. The staff is very friendly and everything is very well thought out. You can park easily in the surrounding streets (be careful, take a tourist parking ticket) and you have a public transport card given to you for the duration of your stay, that's great !

The staff were extremely welcoming, kind and helpful, the hostel was so comfortable, modern and clean with all the facilities you could need including a large kitchen, wifi and a wide range of food and drinks were available at their cafe. I highly recommend 👏

The hostel is super nice and absolutely clean with very comfortable beds. All staff are very nice and helpful. It is very conveniently located near the train station. There are supermarkets and places to eat nearby. I would definitely recommend it!

The location is great just next to the train station. I stayed in a capsule for three nights. It was really comfy, calm, and had also space for some of my valuables. Staff was extremely friendly. I bought breakfast every morning since they had good coffee included, although the food available was rather simple. There was only cheese and ham for the bread but no greenery, for instance.

Great price for all the travelers. A tram station located just 3 minutes away on foot. You can also walk to Basel SBB in 25 minutes, or reach Rhein in 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and a Basel Day Pass will be offered for free upon check-in.

Room: On the smaller side, not much space to open our small cabin sized luggages. No complimentary coffee, water or tea and kettler/coffeemaker are not provided. No daily room cleaning. Location: ~20mins to the city center via tram and stop is less than 5mins walk. Hotel provides Basel card which allows free unlimited tram rides for all guests in the room and discounted attraction fees.

Very good hotel for the price asked. Clean, very warm, cozy, with great customer service. We also asked for a higher floor room which was available at the time and given to us right there, which we really appreciate! Will stay again!

Location is fantastic. Room was okay. Small thing- there wasn't a bin in the room which I found unhelpful. The shower was lovely. The bed was comfy.

Motel One Basel is a perfect location for anyone attending Christmas Markets as the lobby opened onto the Plaza where one of the Markets was staged. Transportation on the tram line was just across the plaza so having no car was not a problem. I arrived prior to check-in but the front desk is staffed around the clock and they stored my luggage until my room was ready. I would stay here again.

Fantastic location, outstanding staff and service, great breakfast for a reasonable price, spacious and comfortable room (though no coffee machine or water kettle in the room), fun vibe, convivial lobby and bar area.

Room was clean, staff were very friendly and accommodating, however the room was very hot as the heating/air-conditioning could not be turned down

Centrally located hotel within walking distance of main station. Easy check in, basic but clean room. Very quiet.

Overall experience is quite good. Check and Checkout were super smooth. Enough space for 2 people and centrally located apartments. Bathrooms were nice and specious too. Kitchen was well equipped.

Apartment had everything we needed, staff were helpful and it was nice to be on a quiet street to get a good night's sleep. We liked the size of the room, and that there was somewhere for us to prepare and eat breakfast (the pull out desk/table was especially useful). Having a Smart TV would have raised the room rating to a 5 stars.

Great location with lots in the area. Spacious garage below with good member rate parking. Stay included a Basel card for free public transport and reduced rate attractions. Comfortable room. Staff especially friendly and helpful :)

We checked in 2 rooms and paid with one invoice which may have caused the confusion that internet login did not work for one of the rooms. Facilities need more attention; hot water in the temperature changes a lot and often. The shower curtain was too narrow to cover the stall so splashed the floor wet when shower. The shower head slips every time shower head was in use. Location is great.

Arrived at 4:30 am and Zain the night receptionist was very helpful indeed. Great to have easy access parking. Hotel not well sign posted. Look for Best Western as in same building.Clean and comfortable room. Relaxed and ready for onward journey.

Location and parking are convoluted and difficult to navigate with baggage. It is located on the 6th floor of a busy shopping complex, with no passenger/ baggage drop off at street level and no access from parking level. The room was large and well appointed, but the open shower floor was slippery when wet. After several days of great rooms at a lower price ( while touring in Germany) we were underwhelmed

Great price worthy stay A great apartment for stay during a little more than a week. The kitchen meant I could have a few meals home which saved both money and time. It was large enough and even though there was no luxury, it had everything I needed for a great stay. The proximity to Messe Basel with several tram lines made it easy to access.

Overall looks ok. But a little inconvenient that the reception of the hotel is located a block away. Some issues with the unit I stayed, the dishwasher doesn’t work, the remote control of the TV had no battery and the coffee machine wasn’t working properly. The main entrance door is a bit tricky to open. But putting these inconveniences aside, it was a good experience.

Quiet, comfortable apartment conveniently located. Access to all the sites in Basel are easily accessable, either on foot or using the trams stops just steps away. The apartment was spacious and included all the necessary amenities. We particularly appreciated the in-suite laundry after being on the road for some time. A good place to stay The place was decent. Nothing special but good value for the price. It has advertised a rooftop terrace which I thought was private. It turns out it was just a shisha bar located on the roof of one of the buildings that contained the hotel. The property is spread across a number of buildings stretching down the street. The apartment was very confortable. Large bathroom. Good kitchen. Good location. We like the daily housekeeping. Also the fact that have the refrigerator, iron and hair drier was very convinient.

Silvie's house is very welcoming, in a quiet corner of Basel, a 2-minute walk from the tram stop and very close to Basel's main train station, Basel Badischer Bahnhof. I stayed with Silvie for a few nights every week for three months. She is very hospitable (and "herzigen" as the Swiss say). The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms is top-notch. There's absolutely nothing to complain about. Wi-Fi is available, and there's delicious coffee (plus breakfast) in the morning. I will definitely come back and recommend her to others.

It was hot….i mean super hot and ventilation was non existent. I also have a leg problem and was given a room with only a top bunk. I found a way to make it work. It was one night only. Bright spot was lovely breakfast at 6am which was a nice treat.  It is difficult to find the hostel unless you know what you’re looking for.
