It is a nice spot the interior has changed since all the public photos so don't be shocked if it's different. The service was good not specially good but normal. The food was good too the pizza was something I really liked but the pasta not so much I personally thought that the sauce was too heavy for my liking.

Hotel du Raisin is an affordable option if you’re looking for a well located, simple hotel for a few nights. I stayed 2-nights in an attic room, which was up four steep flights of narrow stairs. As other reviewers have said there is no lift so a reasonable amount of mobility is needed. My room was clean and roomy with comfy double bed, sofa, table and chairs and a useful kitchenette. The room was serviced daily. There was plenty of free tea and coffee. The free Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. The roof rafter protrudes into the attic room (30) and are big and low. I couldn’t regulate the shower temperature tap (my bad) so I had a hot shower one day and a cool on the day after. At night the hourly bells ringing outside can be irritating if like me you like to sleep with a window open, otherwise the double glazing blocks most of the noise out. Standby for 7 AM each morning when a cacophony of bells attempt to wake up the entire city with a multi-minute blast. It can be quirky when you arrive as there is no hotel reception and when the lady that runs the hotel is away, but the guys who work in the café sorted my room key out after a bit of toing and froing, you can always sit and have a coffee. It is like an Airbnb style of hotel management, other hotels are available but not at similar affordable rates. I would stay here again.

Where is customer is not king
Ordered the beef tartare, which was completely laced with coarsely grated cheese. Told them I do not eat cheese. The waitress offered to ask the cook to replace the meat, but never came back. Ended up eating the cold fries, the tiny salad and the few slices of toast it came with. Another waiter came to clear the table, said the only thing he could do was to offer coffee, which I declined still being hungry. Got charged full price and left while staff was loudly saying : "We cannot offer him a free beef tartare"
Went to Manor, ate takeout Chinese chicken. At least I was not hungry anymore...
Never going back to "Le Raisin"

Pretty appalling accommodation. We stayed over for one night and were in the ‘Attic Suite’ - after scaling endless staircases. It was like a furnace on this hot August day with very little ventilation other than a couple of skylights at each end of the bedroom and kitchen section. There was NO hot water the whole time we were there. In spite of telling the proprietors when we had checked in - nothing was done. Our colleagues in another room also had freezing cold water and on telling the duty staff the next morning, they didn’t even know about it. The cherry on the cake was our room being perfectly opposite the town hall clock bell that burst in to song EVERY half hour and longer on each hour! We left feeling shattered and pretty annoyed. Couldn’t bare another ice cold shower in the morning. Not in the habit of posting reviews or dissing establishments, but these folks need a wake-up call and spend a little more time looking after guests rather than running ragged on the restaurant side - which thankfully we did not try. Avoid.

The blonde waitress is rude and her service is poor. They told us that they charged for water no matter it is tap water or still water. While we asked for small plates, she didn’t bring enough ones. And her attitude was bad when we asked about the charge for water. The Food we ordered is salty.

Poor hospitality. Restaurant staff are also staff taking care of guests needs. Received impatient attitude during check in. I think they are more interested in their restaurant business than Hotel business. Beware, there is no lift! And you can imagine the terrible experience having to carry your big luggage up! The room is also in bad condition. The wardrobe is spoilt with faulty door. A piece of cardboard was used to hold the door from opening. The toilet seat is yellowish with stains. And the room is "slanting". It was a stay of 2 person but only one guest card for one person had been given. Why can't another card be issued? Only benefit is that, the location is good. That's all...

They made a mistake and we paid for it. The food was ok, but after bringing the wrong order we still had to pay for it.

Their website says open at 7:30, so i went early for a meeting to find that they don't open until 9!
