Zoi Boutique Hotel Zanzibar in Matemwe

Excellent location, good price, good restaurant, the nicest staff! Very accommodating. Rooms cleaned daily. About a mile south of Scubafish if you’re into diving. Booked this last minute and very glad I did. Easy to get transport back to airport. They even sent me on my way with a chicken sandwich!

Friendly hotel, right on the beach ( perfect to explore the local life), serene atmosphere and very nice restaurant and bar. Rooms are comfy and traditional. Very nice pool area! Massages are recommended.

The location is good and easy access to the beach and very safe. The hotel itself is very quiet and peaceful no TV for the a reason to relax I think the rooms are very clean sheets changed everyday and the atmosphere atound the hotel is nice and relaxed. The staff is absolutely amazing very energetic and respectful, their services is excellent they go an extra mile. I enjoyed my time at Sunshine Azure, asante sana.

The Sunshine group has three sister titles in Zanzibar. Sunshine Marine Lodge with the adjacent 5th Padi Diving School Divepoint, Sunshine Bay and Azure Sunshine. We spent the night in Sunshine Marine. Lodge as well as this hotel/resort Azure Sunshine. The hotel/resort is located on a beautiful white beach. In the beautiful garden there are several separate bungalows with a lot of privacy. There is a restaurant and swimming pool (infinity pool). Plenty of places to relax and enjoy Zanzibar. Rooms (we had room number 2 right on the beach overlooking Nmemba Island) are very comfortably furnished with a lot of atmosphere. The rooms are not a standard rectangular block box, but a nice unique room with a lot of atmosphere. Whereas in many hotels you have too little space for your belongings and luggage, here in Azure Sunshine, there is a lot of thought about how to use the space optimally. Very nice even with our many diving equipment we had plenty of space. The hotel has a local owner Simon and offers many opportunities and employment opportunities to the local community. The big money therefore does not go to a foreign hotel group, but remains largely in the local community. It is a hotel that you can still remember positively in a number of years. Large walk-in shower with good water pressure and hot water. Double washbasin next to each other. Separate toilet. Fine large thick towels, delicious shower gel. Everything is spotless. A large bed with a fine mosquito net. This bed in room 2 was on the hard side. That is the only tiny flaw we could find. Every evening, the mosquito net is closed, the bed is opened and your room is given a small refresh. What a service. You have your room or a nice large balcony or a terrace in front of your door. Room 2 even has its own plunge pool and private garden. The resort garden is beautifully maintained and the entire complex looks very tasteful. A lot of use was made of natural materials from the environment. Staff extremely friendly and always a heartfelt smile and "Jambo." They speak enough English. Breakfast is partly buffet and things like an omelet or pancakes can be ordered separately. It is nice to see that people cut your fruit fresh for you. What stood out was the rest of this resort. It is wonderful to relax on your own balcony, by the pool or on the beach. If you go diving or snorkeling with DivePoint fan, the hotel will arrange your transfer to Sunshine Marine. Lodge Shuttles run between the 3 resorts several times a day, so you can also look elsewhere. We really enjoyed the .dign stay here and can therefore wholeheartedly recommend the Azure Sunshine.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is very polite, friendly and caring. They go aboveandbeyondto satisfyyour needs. . Jackson and his team are the best. Food was very very delicious, the best I had in Zanzibar. For my birthday, they set a romantic dinner by the ocean, it was just incredible!

Pros: The property was excellent and well-maintained. Food was great, and the pool and beach didn't disappoint!

It's a bit of a drive from the airport/city centre, but that's the case with most resorts in Zanzibar.

Cons: Service. We were asked to pay 3 dollars for each dental kit. Never before in a hotel have I been asked to pay for a dental kit - that was unusual. WiFi connection was patchy

We stayed at Zoi Boutique Zanzibar for 5 days and we didn’t want our trip to end! The place is so unbelievably beautiful, it’s like an oasis! There are only 16 rooms, so we had privacy, which we appreciate a lot!!! Theros Restaurant was the best, we only ate there, expect 2 times, because it was amazing and clean and safe!!! We loved our stay. Paradise on earth! Great retreat on the beach full of palm trees with very cosy pool area overlooking the ocean. Food at the restaurant was fantastic and always fresh. The rooms were spacious with living in nature feeling. Guests were all very respectful of each other and staff was always friendly and available to help. Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation!

This hotel is very beautiful, nestled at Surrounded by lush vegetation and animated by lovely and very professional people. My chef cooks wonderfully well. Breakfasts are a great time. The decor is very elegant. The beach is right in front , an immensity of white sand. Spécial mention to Eunice, Naima , the chef And the Two girls at welcome desk who have made for us this Stay unforgettable. We felt in a big family.
