Tikitam Palms Boutique Hotel in Kiwengwa

Our stay at this beautiful hotel in Zanzibar was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The location is breathtaking, middle in the beautiful garden full of flowers and trees. Our room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly designed with a wonderful blend of modern comfort, antique furniture and local Zanzibari charm. But it was the staff who truly made our experience exceptional. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure we felt relaxed and cared for. The service was professional yet personal, which made us feel special throughout our stay. The food was outstanding — fresh seafood, delicious local dishes, and great selection of fresh squeezed juices for breakfast. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavor and local spices. And a relaxing Suni spa just made our stay perfect. This hotel exceeded all our expectations. If you are looking for luxury, tranquility, and authentic island hospitality in Zanzibar, this is the perfect place. We cannot wait to return! Highly recommended!

I had an exceptional experience at Tikitam Palms. The location was perfect and the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this Boutique Hotel.

Fabulous place, with wonderfully kind staff. The garden is a paradise on earth, with various animals. Unlike Kenya, there are no thieves here, the birds and monkeys are completely peaceful. The pool is clean and fresh. The accommodation has 18 people, as far as I know, so the biggest "crowd" is only at dinner. This is also spread over the 2.5 hour dinner time. During the day, we did not meet anyone in the garden, except for the staff of course. It was like being in your own holiday home. The rooms are cleaned daily, the sanitary facilities are also very clean. We were there for the second time, 14 days this year. After such a long time, the food became a bit of a habit. However, the chef brought the highest level every day, preparing exceptionally delicious dishes from the ingredients. He is a fantastic person, as is everyone at the hotel. It was a special consideration that after our return home, just like last year, we were given a free night on our next holiday. We will definitely return. The only negative is the beach. Unfortunately it is rocky, not sandy, the tide is high and a lot of seaweed washes onto the shore, which they try to clean up with little success. But this is not the hotel's fault. We got around this by renting a motorbike and visiting several parts of the island, where we went to the most beautiful beaches.

A beautiful and peaceful place, very quiet and never crowded. The location is lush and green; we truly felt as though we were living in the jungle, yet with excellent service and exceptionally friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished in a traditional style. Food and beverages are also outstanding, and the coffee is absolutely fantastic.

Amazing resort, perfect for relaxing and the friendliest staff with the F&B team going above and beyond. We had a lovely private dinner on the beach on our last night which was a perfect end to an unbelievable stay. Highly recommended and will be back.

The extremely friendly and attentive staff, the wonderful Sultan Villa, the fresh and excellent food, the beautiful park, the pool area… simply everything!

What a magical place to stay. The rooms are big, clean and tastefully decorated. The surroundings are so peaceful, full of greenery, its as if you're in the jungle. We saw the red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and even a bush baby at night time just all in the hotel grounds! There are not many rooms there so it feels ever so personal and the staff treat you like family. We loved the tranquility of the place, no screaming children in sight, and you can just relax. There are beautiful views of the sea, yes the beach is rocky but you can swim at high tide. Food was excellent, compliments to the chef and all the kitchen staff. Service has been excellent all round and the staff can't do enough to help and make you feel welcome. My only suggestion would be that I would hope the hotel would offer more eco-conscious tours, I think the sort of guests that would stay in this sort of hotel would appreciate this more. We went on one tour from the hotel to Mnemba island and it was so overcrowded and over-toured it really wasn't a great experience. They are many other independent eco-conscious tours such as to Chumbe Island and to Tumbatu Island where we were the only boat there snorkelling. Other than that, Zanzibar is beautiful and what better way to experience this than staying at this special hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

The best hotel I've ever been to! Amazing staff - not intrusive but very helpful. Diverse, delicious food. Beautiful, spacious room. Unbelievable garden with monkeys and bushbabies. Spa with a wide range of massages. Last but definitely not least, lots of cuddly cats :) I recommend this hotel to everyone who looks for some peace

We had the best stay at Tikitam. The staff were some of the kindest, friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever come across. They constantly went out of their way to make sure we were having a happy stay. The hotel is beautiful, situated on a massive garden, the rooms are so nice with super comfy beds and strong AC and the pool and private beach is really nice too. But perhaps the highlight here is the food - so delicious! They did a different themed night each night, and it was all amazing. If we ever come back we will definitely stay at Tikitam again!!

I stayed at a few hotels in Zanzibar and here it is different - they preserved original bush with its fragrances , enriched with flowers and some local endemic plants , banana tress etc . Authentic African style architecture is placed inside this tropical botanical garden , with tastefully decorated rooms, each has a different theme and local art or decoration. Almost a private pool on the secluded beach, drinking a real coconut water makes it wonderfully relaxing and the life slows down….The cuisine is absolutely delicious. At evening dinner they have some life shows - I enjoyed Zanzibar traditional tharab music band . Must see.
