Maikhao Palm Beach Resort in Mai Khao

Scope for Improvement : 1) They should run a shuttle bus to the shopping spots, Flight viewing, etc. It's a beautiful resort but everything closes early. I don't see a reason to close the kids pool at 5.00 pm. The bar closes at 7 pm. It's useless for people like me as I prefer to drink at night. The shuttle bus to Patong Beach is at 3.00 pm and only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

2) Only two bottles of water are provided and if you ask for more water ..They are 60 baht per bottle. I found it amusing.

3) The place gets extremely dark and feels eerily quiet. The street lights are too dim. They should give it a good vibe . Have some bright lights outside.

Good aspects:

1) They care about Vegeterians and can cook something for you if there are no Vegeterian options in the breakfast menu.

2) Very child friendly environment. The kids' pool is lovely. The staff take care of kids well.

3) Room cleaning service is good.

4) The room with a pool is connecting to the main pool. You can swim from your room to the pool.

5) Everything is good if you pay money.

The pools are fantastic! Mai Khao beach is just a few steps from the hotel.

It’s located at Mai Khao beach, the north shore of Phuket, the beach is beautiful, but is not suitable to swim, as Andaman sea is just dangerously beautiful with deadly waves. Actually is a good location for plane spotting, walking along the beach we could actually reach the airfield, but won’t be able to enter the airport terminal, to enter airport we need to take a taxi or Grab for 20-25 mins ride without traffic jam. The surrounding area is generally quiet, about 15-20mins walk to the main road for market and restaurant, but if night time, is just too dark and silent to walk out from the resort. The resort has everything you need, restaurants, pools…. Behind the resort , there is an abandoned building called the Ruins hotel, which was destroyed in 2004 tsunami, when ever you look out from resort corridor, you will see the remains of the Ruins hotel.

A great spot right at the beach but with facilities you can stay onsite all day enjoying. The pool is amazing, a moat like setup that gives plenty of space to explore. Great for kids and families. The breakfast is extensive. The town itself is laid back and less developed than much of the island. We reached this destination at the end of our stay on Phuket and this type of stay was exactly what we wanted by then. Close to the airport for you start or end of tour of Phuket. We would stay here again when we return and would try to spend more time just chilling onsite.

Beautiful hotel with fantastical beach just around 50 meters nearby!

I think this hotel is good, right next to the sea, you can walk there, not far from the airport. The restaurant is a buffet with a variety of food. I really like the breakfast here. There is a long but not wide swimming pool, but that makes me feel comfortable.

The disadvantage is that at night the hotel here is quite dark and far from the community. If you want to go shopping, you have to go far out. You should have a private car because it is difficult to find a bus.

Quiet hotel away from tourist places, good breakfast to choose from. Gorgeous bathtub overlooking the pool in every room. It takes 15-20 minutes to go to the nearest store. Airplanes are not heard

Beautiful hotel, very polite staff, everything is new and fresh. I was feeling mtself comfort, tranquillity, and privacy. Big swimming pool, and all towels are clean and new. Amazing view from balcony.
