Absolutely in love with this hotel 🤩
Flawless cleanliness and friendly staffs.
The room is spacious with huge garden and cozy atmosphere. It’s serene and peaceful.
You will not be disappointed staying here.

There are varieties of breakfast choices. I was so full to the point where I could roll back to my room 😝

+ Staff always smiled, tried to help.
+ Location was very quiet, except for the ongoing airtraffic.

- We had to move to another room as the AC was faulty - loud clicking noise the whole night. Also the AC evaporator in other room was probably not cleaned, it smelled horrendously.

The most beautiful peaceful hotel!

We extended our stay and were so sad when we couldn’t extend further because they were fully booked. The staff are so warm and friendly and don’t hassle you, you feel the privacy and relaxation. The rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean.

All you need to do is hire a scooter or use the GRAB app to get around all of Chiang Mai.

I’m very surprised to read that others thought there weren’t lots of restaurant options close enough - we went to SO MANY and ate so much local food. There are many restaurants and two 7/11 very close by.

Coffee or me has great coffee and matcha. There is also a Cafe called Taste of Art coffee roaster only 1km away that makes delicious eggs, bagels, smoothies bowls.

We already miss Merchant Villa and will definitely be back.

It's more like a serviced apartment than a hotel. No atmosphere really, as it has a deserted feel at all times. There is no bar or food options in the hotel, so you would need to rely on Grab Food Delivery after the coffee shop shuts at 5pm (whichonly serves limited cakes and paninis). It is very peaceful here, but definitely need some form of transport as nothing is walking distance.
Had to wait almost an hour on arrival for check in as no one at the desk. Reception staff are essentially just there for security.
Nice sized rooms and bathroom with bath a bonus.
Swimming pool is cold 🥶

Room are big size.. Services are ok they dont really have all day dining on site but they will give u coupon for beverage for coffee or me cafe that located within the property. Very quiet area as it is tucked inside the village. From old town gate is about 7-8km

Delightful. The hotel suited us perfectly: a secluded place with a beautiful park area, with amazing gourmet food in an Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner, a separate cafe, nice smiling staff ready to help at any time. 100-150 baht on Grab taxi, and you are already in the city center.
Gorgeous clean well-maintained rooms, snow-white linens.
Breakfasts: look at this volume.
We were also delighted with another bonus: the new gym.

Very quite place and nice view. Good for relaxing. The hotel is new and the room has good size.
Inside the villa has coffee shop and the restaurant. The restante is highly recommend.
As the hotel doesn’t have chef, the breakfast spec is small and the food poor. I suggest the management use space of pool bar.

A great place for someone who wants to get away from the city but be just minutes away. This is in the chill-est part of Chiang Mai while still being handy. This is a superbly nice hotel that is just starting out, and I was happy to stay there at the beginning because I although the rooms are not cheap, I think they are underpriced. I suspect that price will go up because the room is really an incredible experience. Everything in the room feels luxurious and is just way nicer than the average “nice room”. The room is big and so is the bathroom. It has big windows and my corner room was light and bright. There are wood floors and a recessed ceiling. The bathroom has a claw footed tub and a rain shower. Everything from the fixtures, to the toilet, to the tile in the bathroom are specialty. There is a beautiful infinity pool that I had all to myself. It was great to just float and relax while looking at the mountains. I guess it’s called Merchant Villa because it’s designed to feel like an Italian experience, but I’ve been to Italy and this place is better because it’s all new and everything works. The staff seemed extremely nice and accommodating. A couple of things to be aware of… There were only a couple of guests and breakfast was limited. A very Thai set of food with porridge and eggs – not exactly my thing, but there were fresh croissant so I was happy. They hotel itself is on a property that’s got construction going on, but I think it stopped in the late afternoon and did not start early in the morning. I very much enjoyed my experience there and would like to return, especially to bring my girlfriend whom I think will enjoy the decoration and amenities even more.
