Regent Mongkon in Nonthaburi City

Very good concept hotel for business travelers and famillies 

Clean and hygienic, and the Sky Lounge is pretty good too. The breakfast buffet had very little meat, mostly carbs and fiber, which was a bit disappointing. It's highly recommended if you just want to stay in, but it's a bit far from the city's attractions.

Beautiful hotel though a bit far from the city. The room was clean, good service, washing machine was convenient but there was no iron provided.

Overall the room is comfortable, just nice for 1 or 2 person. There are 2 7-11s and a mini Big C beside the hotel, and a Big C shopping mall within walking distance which is very convenient for buying necessities or food. Although the hotel is just next to MRT (Yaek Tiwanon purple line station), travelling may take some time depending on the destination. By the way, the chicken rice stall opposite the hotel is a must try👍

To be fair, the room itself was actually pretty good, and considering I booked it quite late for New Year's Day, they didn't hike up the price, which I really appreciate. Plus, they even offered a late check-out. But why did no one in the reviews mention how noisy this room is?! 😂🤦♀️ That's exactly why I'm writing this review. The room I stayed in was right next to the light rail, and I barely got any sleep the entire night. You can see from the second photo just how close it is to the light rail. Even when the light rail wasn't running at night, it's very close to the road, and I don't understand why the overall soundproofing is so poor. I rarely have trouble sleeping. If I had known how loud it was outside, or if someone had mentioned the noise in their review, I would have gladly paid more money to stay somewhere else. 😂 Just something for others to consider.

Decent enough place with a lovely pool and a basic gym. What bugged me about them, though, was an attitude of making up rules after check-in. I booked it because it was a service apartment, for the last 3 nights of a 9 day trip. The whole purpose of that is to be able to cook a simple breakfast after days of eating out, do some laundry and so on. There was a sign in the kitchen forbidding cooking for "short-term" guests and a lack of pots, pans and cutlery. I messaged the property through Trip and was told I could cook. They did send up a frying pan and knives and forks when asked. However it was all very strange.
Apart from that, nice apartment, right next to an MRT and also a bus stop that was very handy for getting around.
They had a nice Nespresso machine, toaster and electric stove so we went out and bought some coffee pods, eggs and bread and had a simple breakfast each day we were there.
So...they just need to get over their attitude on using the kitchen and I'd give them 5 stars.

Very good thing is that they have washing machines with dry function! Close to 7-eleven and metro. Highly recommend!
