Tonmai Suites (SHA Extra Plus) in Lanta Island

I stayed in 3 different room types here and they were all great. The hotel is right beside the old town with plenty of delicious restaurants over the sea. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Bird, there guy who owns the hotel, was so helpful with anything I needed. Some of the furniture is a bit dated like a lot of places in Thailand, but the rooms were clean and just like the pictures - brought, spacious and colourful. I would definitely recommend staying here. It's also one of the only places that doesn't put up their prices during high season. Thanks Bird and Aun for a great stay 🙏

The owner is friendly , nice, allways perfect service. Ready to help. The rooms are bigger as average. The location. Near old town 100 m. To go to the beaches, needs to rent a scooter. Very easy . It is quite more as in the center off the islands where all the resorts and tourists are.

This will be one of the few places I will recommend for accommodation in Thailand. The people at Tonmai made our stay all the more desirable.
Our bungalow was clean and spacious.
They offered bike and laundry service.
Also extremely well at communicating, which we have found hard to come by.
I preferred to stay in the old town as well, due to its peaceful nature and good selection of restaurants.

Fantastic place to stay. We had a week here an loved every minute of it. The suite we booked was large, comfortable and had amazing views out over the ocean. Bird (the owner) was super friendly and always available to help and advise via WhatsApp if you ever needed him. The old town of Koh Lanta is so beautiful and as far as we are concerned, the best place to stay on the island. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights and we are very happy with it. This hotel got the largest room available in whole island, it got more than 50m2 available for very reasonable price. The room has large windows where you can see everything from different sides, but still keep the privacy as it’s on a second floor. You can see the sea from some windows and listen to it during the night. The only downside of the apartment is the bathroom as it is a typical thailand bathroom with no separation between shower and toilet, so expect humidity there always. Finally the hosts Aun and Bird are so attentive and supportive, they provide with any requests like motorbike rental, tours, taxi, etc. The hotel is close to Lanta Old Town which is on the other side of the island, pretty quiet and far away, which is something we prefer. There is a 7/11 close by and plenty of restaurants and coffees around.

The environment is excellent, with beautiful scenery all around. It's conveniently located next to the old street and very close to Kor Rok. The owner is very nice!

The manager gave us a very warm welcome. The room was very large and air-conditioned. The terrace was pleasant with a partial sea view. The room was comfortable for our stopover. Excellent value for money. Close to the old town (shopping, bars, restaurants).

What a wonderful stay! We stayed in the aqua blue Pole house. Absolutely stunning sunrise and sunsets. Great kitchen and dining deck to enjoy local seafood. Location perfect as next to scooter rental. Off street parking too so great for us bikers. Jennifer the host was extremely helpful and the place was spotless.

Right near Old Town. Excellent accommodations. Comfortable rooms. Best bed and sleep I had in all of Thailand.

Tonmai Suites are spotlessly
clean,with friendly, helpful English speaking owners .
Our suite is large ,well appointed, with extremely comfortable beds! Good A.C and ceiling fans keep it cool. Plenty of wardrobe space, and drawers, to hide away clothes etc, keeps the room looking tidy!!
Bathroom is a good size and in western style.
We particularly enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching Old Town go by.
Tonmai also has a pleasant shady garden to sit in.
Free coffee, tea and drinking water are always available.
Old Town is a fantastic place to stay with excellent restaurants and good quality shopping. We particularly like Fresh and Pinto restaurants in the evening and Grandma's House does a fantastic breakfast with home made bread! Big Tree cooks scrummy Thai and Western style food.These are all only a 5 minute walk from Tonmai.
Beaches a 10 minute car/ bike ride away.
