Great, accommodating hosts... Clean... Spacious rooms... only the location is a bit far from Chiang Mai

This is a very nice place to stay. The decor is lovely and the staff are friendly. Although the location is quite inland and the access road is on a private road that isn't very good. The only complaint is that there was no hot water on the day of our stay.

In general it was a nice and comfortable stay, the rooms seem to be recently renovated. But there was also some downsides or things to keep in mind. 1. Location: The resort is quite remote, so if you wanna relax it’s good otherwise you gonna need a car to get around. 2. Lighting in the room is quite dark. 3. Breakfast: One day we had to skip breakfast because no employees were there.

Cool Downs was a great place to stop for the night during a recent photography workshop we were conducting. We loved it and so did our clients. We love the design and layout - simple, modern, chic. The breakfast was a work of art too. We each ordered something different and each meal was beautifully presented and delicious.

Wonderful accommodation, beautiful surrounds, friendly and attentive hosts. Highly recommended. My wife and I spend several days at this Thai oasis and enjoyed every minute. Mae Nai Gardens is an idyllic hideaway out of the main city so we do recommend that you seek their advice on transport options to and from the property.

The atmosphere is good. There are many places to take photos and relax. The towels are a bit old.

The room is spacious, the staff is helpful, there is enough parking space, the accommodation is not far from the main road, there is a swimming pool, there is a complete hair dryer, but one thing is the bed sheet that has spots, not sure what caused the black spots.

The date of arrival was a long holiday, December 4-5, 2023. The place looked at from the reviews, good atmosphere, beautiful accommodation, but when we arrived at the accommodation, the place in the hotel looked like there was no one taking care of the cleaning. The leaves are all falling. If you don't sweep them, there are still leaves in the swimming pool. I'm a little disappointed.

It’s a such a pity for this place is not well maintained, because the architecture and decor is very nice, plenty of grounds to chill and relax and I especially love that there’s the river just beside! Rooms feel dirty, and dusty, spiderwebs everywhere, there was a ginormous spider in my toilet, and used bottles in the fridge not cleared, and a dead insect in my kettle. Actually really good food! We had really good Tom Yam soup, fresh and intense taste plus all kinds of fried vegetables, Thai salad and fried rice. Definitely coming here again! Cute location in the middle of nowhere, quiet spot for a little break.

The location is fantastic and makes it easy to drive around to other great locations like queens sirikit botanical gardens and Mon jam. The hotel itself is nice but quite old, the bathroom unfortunately smelled of pee but instead of cleaning they just used an essential oil burner (which was terrible) to cover the smell. Good hotel with good location. Not too far from city. Sports activity can be done here such as swimming, jogging and sauna. Food is okay, mostly served with western food. Really nice place to stay and great amenities. We rented a room with hot tub though and there was no hot water. One call to the reception was enough and they sent a handy man and it was fixed within an hour. Downside was that it took 4!!! Hours to fill the hot tub as there wasnt a lot of water coming out.

We found this place while staying for Christmas in 2019. We lived in Chiang Mai in 2016-2018 and i have never heard about Amaravati. But as all hotels were full during Christmas and New Year madness, we booked this on booking.com. well...... I lived in Indonesia and Thailand and stayed in many amazing places.... This is a huge site very spacious and very natural. Deserves the name Retreat because it really has a spiritual Vibe and an active Temple and various places to feel connected. A little bit old and worn in places but excellent price For my forest bungalow. The pool is just about big enough to swim for exercise but not really very big.
