Oh, boy. Where do I start?

My wife (Thai) and I booked a courtyard room here (granted last-minute while driving on the road) having great expectations based on the photos and location. Sad disappointment.

We were offered a room upgrade (at an extra cost of 500 THB) for a "floating" room at the river. We did not find any additional value on that type of room rather far away from reception and the parking lot and overall just a gimmicky "room on a river".

Our room had a plethora of faults and poor design choices: rather dangerous electrical connections for the TV, a terribly wobbly and DIRTY mattress that made it very difficult to comfortably sleep. Every time my wife or I rolled, the entire mattress just wobbled waking either of us up. The shower faced the mountain, however, no windows for looking at that amazing landscape while taking a shower. Disappointing. Moreover, poorly-sealed windows allowed bugs into the room and we are unsure if we got stung overnight. Just to clarify, I am totally aware that we come to stay in nature and bugs and crawling creatures are to be expected, however, we are paying for a cottage that should offer better comfort on that regard.

An EXTREMELY important part of our stay involves the DREADFUL breakfast. You get a so-called "buffet" (which is rather a deliberate selection of whatever management believes is goof enough for you) with a handful of TERRIBLE selections. Rice porridge soup with pork (not that bad, to be fair), a couple of veggie salads, fried eggs, boiled sausages, fried rice and ONE SELECTION OF FRUIT. ONE! (Watermelon this time). There's a toaster to toast possibly the lowest quality white bread. The "butter" deserves a special mention: it isn't butter. It's margarine at best and clearly of the lowest quality. Just poison. The strawberry "jam" isn't jam. It's just red-coloured syrup. More poison. That's it. No other options.

Finally, and a deal-breaker for me is the coffee: instant coffee. INSTANT FREAKING COFFEE! That alone would make me run away immediately from any place. I am a coffee lover and that's something that I cannot accept. Full stop.

In conclusion, I believe that management from this hotel is completely at lost and they need urgent help. They clearly underestimate us customers thinking that we can simply accept this poor quality service without realising that we can spread the word to make people aware.

On a final note, I feel sad for the employees since they have nothing to do with the state the owners have left this place at. They try to do their best with what they have available.

Just avoid and stay somewhere else until management puts this place in order.

We stayed in the floating room. The view is nice and you can experience sleeping on the running water. But the quality of the room is very poor, bed and furniture are old and of bad quality, there's not much privacy (the small patio facing the river is communal), there's an always-on light bulb right outside the window that doesn't allow the room to get completely dark even when using the curtains. Breakfast is average.

Terrible place. We had to move to a safer hotel because of faulty wiring and unsafe electrics
