Traditional wooden bungalows on the beach. Lots of steps to get up and down so perhaps not best suited to anyone with mobility problems. Only had a fan room - figured the sea breeze would help cool the place down but no - they have a few rooms with air on so recommend getting one. Daily cleaning was good, breakfast was a good spread - eggs, toast, fruit etc - and good pot of coffee always on the go. Peaceful location - would probably go further down the beach next time as too rocky to swim nearby but overall a great stay.

We chanced upon this place and it was exactly what we were looking for - a simple bungalow overlooking the beach. The room was a decent size and the bathroom pretty basic, and it had a lovely deck overlooking the beach and we thought it was the best beach on the island as well. The breakfast was ok, the staff very friendly. There are a number of places to eat along the beach and along the road nearby. There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the restaurant area. There is no fridge nor air con in the rooms - we knew that when we booked it but just so you are aware.

Beautiful bungalows on the hillside right on the beach. A very good restaurant. A manager who is always very attentive and very helpful. If you like lots of nature, peace and quiet on the beach and good Thai food, the complex is a little piece of paradise. A few restaurants on the beach. Fortunately, there are still few boats. There are rocks in the water, though.

This is paradise. The bungalows are very nice, comfy and just perfect to relax. You see one of the nicest sunsets from the beach or from the balcony of ur little bungalow. The staff is so super nice, the food is excellent, the drinks (I can only speak for non alcoholic) are super deliscious. It is just perfect for relaxation vacation. They rent motorbikes and bicycles. Just amazing 🥰

Fairly comfortable bungalow with fan and mosquito net. We had superior bungalow with partial sea view. Staff kind, friendly and very helpful..We know there would be many steps, they are quire steep and a bit of a challenge (we are in our 70’s) but manageable. Staff helped with luggage on arrival and departure. Beach attractive and fairly quiet. There is a rocky area immediately in front on the bungalows which makes swimming difficult at low tide, but there’s a rock free area a little further along. Food good but restaurant was often full so we only ate there a couple of times. There are other excellent restaurants nearby where you can eat right on the beach and enjoy the sunset. Food and cocktails very good value.

I have chosen a bungalow which met my expectations. For a change I wanted to have something like a hotel room, rather that a rustical bungalow.
Even though street is next to the bungalow, it was quiet at night as windows have good sound isolation.

Room with fan is not actually a room, but corridor. AC room is ok. Clean bathroom and toilet.
Hostel located 20 min walk from the beach. Have bicycles and scooters for rent.

Standard hostel - very clean & the staff are useful at helping to book onwards travel etc.

I met a great group of people here but have only given 4 stars as it could do with a more social area - wouldn't have met them unless we were all outgoing / chatty & bumped into each other by chance

Only planned to stay 1 night before finding a beach hut. Ended up staying 4. Yeah, it's not on the beach, but it doesn't matter if you're only there in the daytime and you have a scooter or bicycle (like everyone else does here), and it's right in the middle of the island equally close to everything you might want to visit. For an extra 50 baht per night, we figured the air conditioned room was worth the extra, and several of the fan room guests eventually upgraded. The owner was super helpful and went far out of his way for us. I have any criticisms, it's that being on the main road through the island makes it a little noisy out front; also, the communal areas could be laid out a little better to encourage socialising. All in all I'd highly recommend it, especially if you're solo and on a budget.
