If you stay here don't book the delux rooms...no hot water broken sharp tiles on the balcony,smelly rooms and hard uncomfortable beds

The staff here are lovely and very helpful; however, this guest-house is run-down. It looks like maintenance work hasn't been undertaken for years, and I can only assume the photos online are quite old. Throughout the grounds are broken stairs and wobbly veranda railings. Our first room had no hot water, a bathroom with a mouldy roof and tiles hanging off the wall, and cracked windows. The staff kindly moved us to a better room for our second and third nights, but large gaps under the door and between the windows and the window frames meant we spent much of the night chasing mosquitoes in the room – we ended up sleeping with insect repellent on. The wifi does not work well in the rooms (it took minutes to load a single webpage). While the guesthouse is centrally located, it's also located opposite a school which is noisy from about 7.30 am. Honestly, this guesthouse is overpriced for what it is. I'm surprised it doesn't have more negative reviews – perhaps people are reluctant to do so because of how nice the staff are.
