We spent five days there. It was clean and everyone was so friendly! The surroundings were stunning. We ended up getting a massage at the temple around the corner almost every morning after breakfast. It was a wonderful experience and such a beautiful little town.

Great guesthouse
Rooms are nice and clean, the staff is lovely. Gordon the owner is very friendly, always nice to chat with.

I spent around one month at Kavil Guesthouse in February/March 2025. It’s a very pleasant and rather calm hotel in Chiang Mai old town and close the everything important. The rooms are clean, well lit and have a nice view. I really enjoyed staying there, Gordon, Nit and Tan were very generous and helped me in anyway to navigate in Chiang Mai. Also I could chat with Gordon about god and the world, which was fun :) They even serve caffe and other beverages if you like that.
Plus: There is a vegetarian food place next doors.

An excellent little family. Ran hotel close to the main gate and inside of the old city. Super clean, spacious rooms, good service, and someone there 24 hours a day. I honestly think for the price the location in the quality this is one of the best deals in Chiang Mai.

We had a very nice stay, 4 nights. It's a great location with many nice spots around the corner. They have very nice coffee and also a fridge with drinks, beers also. The room was very nice and clean, good AC and comfortable blankets. Enough space for our luggage, two big bagpacks. We had a basic room with 2 beds. Good shower. It was very quiet. We slept very well. (we were not bothered by the dogs of the neighbours, we only heard them once in 5 days, for only a few sec) We would stay here again and defenetely recommend this place for a peacefull stay and all the action within walking distance.

Stayed here two times. Rooms are big and clean just like the bathrooms. Beds are beds from Thailand but oke.
