Wattana Village Resort in Mae Sot

Nov 2024: Stayed here for several days. Remote location that's far from the Mae Sot town proper. The room where I stayed was large but really needs a makeover. It was a business trip though so I had no choice but to stay here. There's not much to do here.

We have visited here several times and found it used to be a perfect get-away, but this time as we walked to our room, we noticed that the pool was green. Upon closer inspection, we could not see to the bottom even in the shallow end. When we got to our room the walls were so thin that the people in the next room sounded like they were in our room. The staff was gracious to move us to another section, and we saw it was quite run-down compared to earlier stays. There was a table fan in the room, and the air conditioner did not work. We did not complain because it was cool enough that day. The restaurant had not changed, and the buffet breakfast is still great. The staff was friendly, but not the same people or the same place we once knew. We could not use the pool, and the scenery and the noise around us was not very restful.

A very run down hotel and resort. Besides a dirty huge pond and meeting room, there isn't any other facilities. It's a good place to get away from the city however, the price is a little high.

However, the food at the restaurant is quite acceptable and I like the rainforest environment.

It is an old hotel, there of worn but not dirty or broken. the staff is helpful, the price is low and there is a pool and you can order food and drinks both to the pool or to the room. for the price it's ok
