The hotel is a cozy little oasis. While the surrounding area is not the most beautiful area of Chaing Mai, the Amata Lanna is BEAUTIFUL and peaceful. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. Yumi at the front desk was particularly sweet to us. She learned our names, referred us to restaurants and other places of interest, and helped us schedule massage appointments (arranging this service is specifically offered through the hotel) and taxis (this is not specifically offered). Yumi taught us Thai phrases, helped me mail post cards, and answered all our questions.

The cost of Amata Lanna is high by Thai standards, but inexpensive by American standards. Food and shopping is technically accessible by walking, but only technically.

Super nice and friendly hospitality. Our family had been taken care very well. Very professional suggestions on different activities and arrangements. Quiet and calm atmosphere is what I look for.

Amato Lanna Village is a beautiful little hotel. The rooms are very charming and individually decorated, and the garden is like a little paradise. The staff are consistently very friendly and welcoming, especially Yumi at reception, who always provided us with many helpful tips. We felt very comfortable there and always felt like we were coming home in the evenings. We can wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hotel.

From the moment I sat down at the reception desk and met our host, I was taken away from the bustling streets that were steps away from Amata Lanna Village. The intimate enviroment, the breakfast service, the pool to cool off,the staff all amazing! Loved having access to food stalls right around the corner with a 7/11 and ATM about a 5-8 minute walk. 10-15 Minutes away by GRAB to Old City. Would recommend!

Wonderful stay at the Amata Lanna Village!! The hotel is quiet and quaint, and maintained to the highest standards. The staff are absolutely amazing, so kind and friendly. The breakfast is lovely and it was a treat to stay outside of the old city in a more local neighborhood. 7-11 is a two minute walk and has all the provisions you need.

I would come back to Chiang Mai just to stay here again. Highly recommend this place!

Highly rated hotel, with fantastic rooms, attentive staff, and a lovely pool area if you want a break for the temples and to read your book. It’s not in the old town, but that’s a good thing. The old town isn’t actually pretty, so a short £5 taxi ride (book using Bolt app) is an excellent trade off to get a much more peaceful location. One good local restaurant if you don’t want to go into town, and amazing breakfasts available on site. Excellent value. Would recommend to anyone.

A great place for a relaxing family stay. Just be aware that it's a bit of a distance from the Old Town. We especially loved the authentic Thai atmosphere.

What a treat!!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars. We should have stayed longer as this was simply our best stay in Thailand.
Our family with grown-up kids and their boy/girlfriends stayed in 4 gorgeous rooms during 3 nights in April '25.
This is a very clean, picture-perfect boutique hotel in traditional style but with all modern comforts. All breakfasts were very delicious (best mango-sticky-rice ever!).
Yumi was extremely helpful: before, during and after our stay. Her suggestions were all "best-hits". (Thanks again, Yumi!) All other staff in this small team were very friendly and kind too.

We’ve had a few nice days in this small boutique bed and breakfast style hotel. It only has 14 rooms that are well maintained. Rooms have nice Lanna style details with wood carvings giving it an unique Thai style. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Great service standard.
