Hari Club Beach Resort in Aghir

Hotel in general looks quite dated . Specially bathroom and room. However , waiters and domestic cleaners very friendly. Special shout out to Lourimi Hanen . She was lovely , friendly and very welcoming. Food not to standard of 4 star hotel. It was awful. The beach is not how you see it in the pictures. There is not much to see outside of the hotel apart from abandoned hotels . Overall if you want a very quiet holiday this might be the place for you but you would still feel disappointed.

We went in March 2026 on a girlie holiday to Djerba and stayed at Hari Club Resort on a 7 night all inclusive package booked via Love Holidays. The resort looked perfect in pictures with mixed reviews online so we went with an open mind being optimistic. The location is good considering it is approx 30 minutes drive from Zarzis airport. The first impressions of the resort were good as reception staff seemed okay. Our luggage was taken to the room by staff as we had few heavy suitcases, our rooms were on first floor and there were no lifts. The rooms were smaller than it looked in the pictures but we had decent sea view from the balcony. Rooms were clean but the bathroom definitely needed updating. In the bathroom there were constant scratching noises coming from the top floor, possibly pigeons, mice or rotten pipes. The bath, sink and taps were old and rusty. Take your own towels if possible. There were no kettles or iron in the room. We asked for a kettle to make our own tea in the room and was given a rusty old kettle which smelled horrible so returned it back. Our room telephone was only for show as it did even not have a plug! Breakfast is decent as you have choices from variety of cereals, bread, fresh omelettes and pancakes but no toaster to make toast. We were a group of vegetarians so we struggled for decent lunch and dinner. When asked the restaurant staff for vegetarian options we were ignored and ridiculouled. We survived the week on bread, potatoes, salad, margarita pizza, chips and pasta. Soup was also non veg on most days. They had a microwave but it took ages to warm up food and one day it just stopped working which was really annoying because most the food we had was just layered there cold. There is a hot drinks machine in the bar but even those drinks were lukewarm. No fresh juices in sight and alcohol tasted like acidic medicine. The restaurant staff was incredibly rude especially one whose name was Sufiyan if I remember correctly. We had to complain to the reception about him and were told next day that he has been removed. He had been rude to us on numerous occasions and once basically asked us to leave the restaurant before its closing time of 9pm. It was just past 8.30pm and our group had finished dinner and we were just chatting away. Sufiyan came around started to switch off the restaurant lights and came to our table started to fold table covers and asked us to leave. We could not believe it! He pretended like he was the restaurant manager but we later found out he was just a pompous waiter. The behavior could be because we were a group of girls having a good time and most men in Djerba came across as aggressive and sexist towards women. We were happy not to see Sufiyan's face from following day and glad the management took some action. The DJ, the guy who runs the sheesha lounge who occasionally serves green tea and the female staff at the reception were excellent and extremely professional. Weather was hit and miss and

i was at the hari club 9th march - 16th march hotel is what i describe as a modern day fawlty towers, it needs knocking down and rebuilding. It is very old and dated and tired looking. The hotel is listed as a 4star personally i think a 2star listing would be too much for this place so therefore it would be a 1 star, suffice to say i certainly won't be returning to this hotel. The cleanliness needs looking at as a whole the cleaning staff need to put much more effort in for the hotel to thoroughly clean. Kitchen staff and catering staff need to up there game some the food was either under cooked or over cooked, not enough utensils for serving the food so there for cross contamination springs to mind not to mention food poisioning.. Rooms are not the best i've seen they are very basic and need a good lick of paint, bathroom was falling to bits the sink unit was all cracked and discoloured the bath had been painted you could see brush strokes in the bath where they have tried to hide damage.
