Reviews
I recently stayed at your hotel to attend a wedding over the weekend. As a five-star property, I arrived with high expectations; however, my experience unfortunately did not meet the standards associated with such a rating.
Upon arrival, there was no staff assistance with our luggage, despite our group carrying multiple suitcases and formal wear. This immediately raised concerns regarding the level of service. While check-in was efficient and the lobby presentable, the overall impression quickly declined after we entered the room.
The room appeared dated and had several maintenance issues, including a door that did not close properly. I have included photographs highlighting some of these concerns, as they do not reflect what one would expect from a five-star establishment.
During our free time, my father and I visited the beach restaurant. Although staff noticed us, we waited between five to eight minutes without being greeted or offered a menu. I eventually collected one myself and later had to go inside to place a drink order, as no one approached our table. Additionally, requests such as an ashtray were neglected, and items were removed without being replaced. While lunch itself was enjoyable, we were surprised to learn that we could not charge it to our room — another unexpected inconvenience at a luxury hotel.
As the weather was cooler, we hoped to use the spa facilities, including the jacuzzi, only to learn it was closed. The indoor pool was also under maintenance. At this point, I began seriously questioning whether the hotel’s five-star rating is justified.
The most disappointing experience, however, was breakfast. The selection was extremely limited, poorly presented, and several food items lacked labels, making it unclear what was being served. As someone who works in the restaurant industry and owns a restaurant in Germany, I am familiar with hospitality standards, and I found the food quality to be far below expectations — in some cases comparable to a cafeteria. The salads appeared insufficiently washed and the French toast looked overcooked and unappealing, as my attached photographs show. Additionally, having to stir tea with a wooden stick is certainly not representative of five-star service. Overall, the breakfast experience would be rated 0 out of 10.
In summary, I believe that the service quality, facilities, and food standards currently fall significantly short of what is expected from a five-star hotel. I sincerely hope you will review these concerns and take appropriate action to improve guest experience going forward.
I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it contributes to meaningful improvements. At present, I would not feel comfortable recommending this hotel to others.
Kind regards,
Tolga Gürses
There was one bath towel and no hand towels in our room. I had to request.
There are dirty plates outside our room when we arrived. Collected about 24 hours later.
I went to reception to get a towel at about 4.30pm and told to come back in 10 minutes. There were no towels. A guest should be able to swim when they want.
Gym equipment, broken or rusted and not maintained
Hot water in the shower in our room is not hot enough. 100% turned to hot is about 37 degrees
Half of the shower head sprayers are blocked.
I’ve called hotel reception at 10:30 pm to ask for a blanket as there is one which might fit a king single but does not fit this bed.
I’ve called again to reception at 10:54pm 4 times and there was no answer
I still have no blanket 11 pm
Called again 11pm. No answer. Called again at 1102pm and someone answered. I asked for it to be sent now. We are trying to go to bed
We had to ask for the lights to be turned on in the gym at 720am.
There is no music near the pool and no drink service.
At 430 someone came and took all of the pillows and took my towel I was using too. He asked if he could take the pillow so he knew I was there but still took my towel. This does not need to take place while guests are at the pool. There were about 12 people by the pool at that time.
One of the swings in the sea is broken
I am in room 226. There is a dead plant outside my room.
The rail for the hand towel keeps falling off.
The hairdryer does not work
I have stayed in many hotels in the world and never found the people so cold. I had heard such good reports about people in Turkey and that they are so kind but I cannot tell from the people at this hotel. They barely look at you. No one even says good morning.
1. Communication was a major challenge since most of the staff did not speak English.
2. The management appeared unorganized, with inconsistent room cleaning and slow responses to our requests.
3. We also experienced an unacceptable situation: we booked a Turkish bath, and during the session we realized that the hot water was not working. No one had warned us beforehand, so we ended up having the entire bath with cold water. To make matters worse, we were still charged the full price as if nothing had happened. A Turkish bath without hot water is simply unacceptable.
4. The Wi-Fi was very weak, we had to reconnect every 10 minutes.
5. The water wasn't draining well in the wc. After every shower, the WC area would flood with water, leaving the floor completely wet and uncomfortable to use. This is not only inconvenient but also unsafe, as the floor becomes very slippery.
1. Most of the staff do not speak English, which made communication very difficult.
2. Management seemed disorganized, with inconsistency in room cleaning and delays in attending to requests.
3. We faced an unethical situation: we had booked a Turkish bath, and while taking it, we discovered that the hot water was not working. No one had informed us in advance about this issue, so we ended up having the entire bath with cold water. Despite this, the hotel still charged us the full amount as if everything was normal. Imagine a Turkish bath with cold water!
