I just got back. The food was the same, there wasn't much meat, there were no pancakes or omelettes, there wasn't even any cereal. Every day the same food, the same cakes, the same salads and only watermelon and oranges from fresh fruit. It says on the website that there is WiFi in the room, no. The WiFi is only at the reception and it doesn't work well, and when it does, it immediately turns off, they keep restarting the router at the reception. As for cleaning, during my 10-day stay I didn't have my bed linen changed and towels were only added to the room once, the room was only cleaned once during that time. On other days, they only took out the trash, they didn't even make the beds. I went to the reception myself to get towels and when I asked why the room wasn't cleaned, they said they didn't have enough people to work. (Apparently, a lot of people don't want their rooms cleaned because they're afraid of theft) I also reported that the toilet didn't work properly and they didn't send anyone to fix it. My hat disappeared from my room the next day I informed the reception and no one did anything about it. The people working at the reception told me that there was an evil stingy boss here. As for the entertainment, there was only one lady who danced belly dancing, in the evenings they only turn on Turkish music, the same all the time, there is nothing else. On the website it said there was billiards, unfortunately not, there is only a dartboard hanging on the tree, after asking for darts to play they said I would get them the next day. As for the toilets at the reception and by the pool, the stench was incredible and filthy. The beach right behind the hotel, where there are only a few sunbeds assigned to this hotel, we only managed to lie on them once because they were practically occupied all the time. As for the hotel staff at the reception, nice helpful people but not all, at the bar nice people very hard-working but do not speak English. Last year the hotel was supposedly renovated, this information is at the reception but I am attaching photos of my bathroom which does not meet the standards even for a 1 star, I do not recommend, it is a waste of money, you will be disappointed, there are much nicer hotels in the area.

The food was bland and the same every day, the two swimming pool were clean but the edges had chipped off and fallen into the pool, creating a way to hurt your feet while trying to swim peacefully. Only receptionists spoke English, but all staff really tried their best to help. The private hotel's beach area was nothing like the photos on the website. It was disgusting, the sea water was coming under the middle of the sunbeds, there was no sand, the water was full of little sea weed strands, and only few sun chairs belonged to the hotel.

Before starting this review I would like to briefly mention the pros and cons for the people that don't have the time to read this (however I suggest you to read everything so you know what you spend your money on)

Pros:
- close to the beach
- beautiful view
- the food is just ok, nothing crazy, it tastes good, but the quality is not that good
- some of the employees are very polite, funny and overall good people
- it may seem affordable (but take into consideration the cons)

Cons:
- the beach is very small and, when it's a windy day and the waves are powerful, it brings all the dirt on the beach(also, not only that the beach is small, but it becomes even smaller because only the sunbeds with blue mattress are from Moonlight Hotel)
- the rooms are extremely dirty and nobody knows how to clean properly and what good hygiene means
- they sometimes do not have hot water, they only have extremely cold water and the shower (which is of course dirty, please don't enter without slippers) doesn't have enough water pressure so it takes you an full hour to make a normal shower, oh and did I mention that the water is salty? It is!
- the towels are not clean, and the bed sheets are not clean
- the TV's are old and dirty, also the fridge is dirty and pretty much everything about the room that we were in and the room next to us were dirty, so I assume its a general problem
- the AC is not well sealed, leaving enough room for mosquitos to enter and bite you all night (this was a very big issue, especially for our kid)
- it's very hard to communicate with the staff because almost no one understands
- the stairs are very dangerous and when they "wash" them they literally throw buckets of water on them and all my family has slipped, but thankfully no one got seriously hurt
- the drinks are terrible, I suggest you to stick to water only

This is where the short part ends, now to be more specific I will tell you my honest opinion about the hotel which has been formed based on what I experienced: So, first off, when we first got to the hotel we were welcomed by a young boy which didn't really spoke english too well but he was friendly, then someone came to "help" us with our bags, but he ended up just showing us the room because I carried the most of them and, then, of course he stayed there and expected a tip (for what, for showing us where our room is, isn't that logical and normal, or is it considered an act of kindness?). Anyways, when we got into our room we were surprised to see how dirty it is and quickly went to the reception and complained, but he said we will solve it next morning(understandable because it was 4AM when we checked it due to a flight delay). Next morning we came back and all our complaints got noted on a book: we complained about the bed sheets that were stained, towels that were stained and smelled bad, pillows that smelt like sebum from the scalp as if someone had slept there before us, the toilet seat that was not clean and had urine stains, the floor looked like it was never moped (it was actually moped, but, since they don't know how to clean properly it didn't matter) and the shower cabin was extremely small (I had to open the doors of the cabin so I can bend down to wash my feet). After complaining about everything, nothing changed, so we adapted and made the changes ourselves in order to stay positive and not ruin our holiday, we changed the bedsheets and towels ourselves and cleaned the floor ourselves. Moving on to the food it was delicious, good variety of salads, but the meat however, was not good (the schnitzel definetly didn't contain meat, or if it did it was very processed because when I threw a small piece to a cat, the cat smelled it, bit a piece of it and then avoided it and spit), in some days they did grilled chicken or some type of chicken stew which were very good, but the rest of the meat was not good quality.
FINAL OPINION: It is not worth it because, even though it is reasonablly priced, good hygiene and clean environment is not a "facility", it is a must have, no matter the stars!

Despite the star of the hotel, it offers much better service. The service staff, especially the bartender Gafur, and the entire hotel serve you as if you were a guest of your own home. The food is varied, healthy food, the only quality of the internet is a little poor, on the other hand, this hotel is the place where you should go.

The Moonlight Hotel is situated approx 15 mins walk from the main centre of Turgutries on the Bodrum peninsula.
On our arrival at midnight, we were greeted with a warm smile but it was obvious that our hotel room had a problem with the door lock. Subsequently my wife was locked inside the room and it too 2 maintenance guys half an hour to get the door open again. The door lock was not fixed the following day as promised and after 2 days I mentioned it again to the hotel's reception and the same 2 guys tried to to fix the lock. Finally I admitted defeat and was unable to lock the room for the rest of the holiday - having to carry my valuables around.

Whilst waiting outside in the lobby, I notice the poor renovation work that had obviously recently been carried out. Every hotel door was clearly poorly fitted - they were certainly not fire doors and the fire alarm was broken - I would suggest that anyone stay in a low level floor in case you need to evacuate in a hurry.

In my opinion, the best part of the hotel was the food offering. It was superb Turkish food, although other Brits may bemoan not having their British food, I personally loved it.

Given the average age of the guests at the hotel ie over 50, I could not understand why the staff chose to play loud, booming, modern (rubbish) music beside the pool - I subsequently headed to the beach for some peace and quiet and I bet I wasn't the only one.

Wifi was ok for the first 2 days of the holiday, but was then out of action for the remainder of our week, luckily I found the code from the hotel next door and was able to stay connected from theirs!

All in all, I guess you get what you pay for. The hotel is cheap but is poorly decorated throughout, although it was certainly clean enough. The food was good local produce and I cannot fault the staff at Reception and in the bar.

Would I stop there again? - hmm....not sure....

Staff was friendly and helpful but thats all.
1. No wifi in the hotel
2. Every piece of metal was rusted
3. Rooms were dirty and materials were all stained. We bought our own bed linens
4. AC were making more noise than cooling
5. Zero noise isolation
6. Beach is almost nonexistent and under shadow for majority of the day
7. extremely poor hygiene all around
8. Food was terrible
9. Check all the reviews that are 5/5 and see that they are coming from fake profiles created for that review only :)

Disgusting place to stay never again

Dirty hotel, very low quality rooms with old scruffy damaged furniture, beds very old ie springs sticking in your back etc. All inclusive board is non existent !!! Your given a choice of beer vodka, gin or red wine, food was very very very poor ie low quality, horrendously repetitive with no alternatives available. No snacks available at all. Staff were impolite at best or simply didn't care. Simply said this is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Be warned it is lacking in just about EVERY department. It's only good point is the stunning views ... I guarantee you will disappointed at everything else. Save your money and look elsewhere

There is no internet in the rooms, only at the reception (in the corridor). The room is messy and stuffy. The food is weak, most of it is salads.
17.06.2022 lukasz
very low standard. dirty everyday similar / the same food to the very average and rarely replenished when it's over, and often it is lukewarm, not hot. tea was offered and officially it was not. turkey has many fruits and you will get pudding and watermelon every day. salt water toilets, also you don't even brush your teeth. very small swimming pool with a few sunbeds. the beach is small and the photos were taken especially so that everything would look fine. the only plus is the guys at the bar and with some staff it is very difficult to communicate in English and you have to translate everything into English on your phone. wifi only in reception

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the retreat. Close to the beach, big breakfast and most of all - the most brilliant host, Ali.
He has to be the most helpful and bright manager I have had the pleasure to lean on.
I had hire car issues, that Ali kindly worked on, on my behalf. Thank you Azure, thank you again, Ali.

I've stayed 4 nights at this hotel and can say that it definitely deserves 5 stars! Very clean, safe, calm place. Breakfasts are so delicious, the little garden is quite peaceful and the pool is so clean and nice. Also the hotel is very close to many beaches (5 minutes by walking)
The people work here are very kind, helpful and friendly. Eventhough its not a spesific retreat days, they are supplying yoga materials if you wish. I'll come back again and suggest all of my friends who thinks about come to Bodrum. Thank you Azure!

I had a lovely 4 day stay at Azure. They offer nice, clean rooms with airconditioning, the breakfast is delicious and fresh, the pool area is very well maintained, it has the feel of a home away from home!
Thank you very much for a wonderful start to my holidays!
