Attn Tourists: When driving around the ancient city of Bergama, Google Maps will take you down some incredibly skinny and dangerous roads! We actually got stuck and had to back down a particularly treacherous one, in the pouring rain no less. Make sure to AVOID side streets at all costs!!! Okay, now on to the hotel itself. We were warmly greeted by Mr. Vedat and his staff upon arrival. A young neighbor of his assisted me with our bags, which was much appreciated! Mr. Vedat is is incredibly kind and personable. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. This gentleman will also send you a map detailing how to avoid side streets if you book with the hotel directly.

We had a wonderful stay at this cosy hotel within walking range and direct view of Pergamon on the top of the hill. A calm spot with a very friendly host. We can highly recommend staying here when visiting the antik site.

I recently stayed at Elaia and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owner, Vedat, is the most helpful person I’ve met during all my travels. When my car broke down, Vedat immediately came to my aid and personally took me to a trustworthy mechanic he uses himself. For the two days I stayed, I truly felt at home thanks to his exceptional hospitality and genuine care. Breakfast was tasty and prepared with care. You wont find breakfast on the table when you get up in the morning because he prepares it while you sit and wait (takes 5 min or so) so you can eat warm and fresh goods.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay in Bergama.

My favourite stay in Istanbul. Restful ambience. Lovely low-key hosting by Vedat. Beautiful rooms with dark polished wood, larrge windows with green leafy outlooks. Excellent traditional breakfast served at the time of your choosing - tasty and healthy, quality local produce.

The Alaia hotel in the old Ottoman section of Bergama is tucked away beneath the ruins of Pergamon. With its eccentric and delightful furnishings, it was a good choice. The old cobbled streets were complicated and even google maps could get us to the hotel. The owner had good communication and helped us get there. The owner’s Turkish breakfast in the morning was delicious and everything was within walking distance.

A lovely little place with only 3 rooms and a nice patio area downstairs and balcony upstairs in the heart of old town Bergama.
The service was excellent and we were even allowed to use the washing machine which was a bonus. Breakfast was plenty and very delicious both mornings.
Our room was super clean and comfortable.
It's a 10-15 min walk into town where we found plenty of shops and restaurants. (It's a steap uphill walk). We also walked from the hotel to Pergamon archeological site which takes about 50 min (up hill) to the entrance gate.
We loved our stay here, definitely recommend this cute little Pension.

Highly recommend this beautiful and very homely hotel. It’s clear that a lot of care is taken into running this place. We arrived in Bergama late at night and the owner ensured we got from the bus station to the hotel safely. Breakfast was lovely and very special.

Beautiful tiny hotel consisting of 3 rooms and a small courtyard. I asked for an early morning check in/to leave my stuff early and the owner was very accommodating. Breakfast was good (above average Turkish breakfast). Rooms are clean, obviously not modern as this is an old historic building. You will hear chickens and dogs. Hot water was fine. Is in a quiet part of the town, but the walk is fine. A couple of small Turkish minimarts close by. Owner spoke good English

Colorful and comfortable. Clean sheets and bathroom, fun leisure areas, and plenty of plants! Vedat is welcoming and helpful. Great location in the Greek neighborhood of Bergama. Highly recommend and will gladly return.

Nice and quiet place. Owner Vedat is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. Not far from centre in a quiet area. Highly recommended!
