We'd stayed at this place before, but it changed hands and was taken over by someone else.
There was no TV or refrigerator in the room. The shower stall had come loose and wouldn't close (it was hinged and made of glass, so the glass could shatter at any moment). The shower drain was so full and uncleaned that it was clogged and wouldn't drain quickly. The faucet in the sink wasn't working properly, and the room needed cleaning.
The breakfast was very good before. It was lovely to have breakfast in the garden every morning. I booked the place just for that, without realizing it had been taken over. But the people who took over are removing the breakfast and directing guests to their own breakfast restaurant.
Other than that, the location and the hotel's beauty are wonderful.

Otelin sahibi Ömer Bey'in Ayvalık'a dair önerileri bizim için çok kıymetliydi. Kendisine ayrıca bu hususta çok teşekkür ediyorum.Otele gelecek olursak gayet temiz ve dekoratif bir otel tek eksiği otopark olabilir ama otelin bulunduğu konum itibariyle bunu sağlaması bu aşamada imkansız gibi. Çevrede özel otoparklar mevcut onları kullanarak otelde konaklamanız mümkün. Otelde kahvaltı dahil olmaması da ayrı bı durum ama bunu bilerek gidiyorsunuz zaten.

Truly wonderful, I loved every element of it, so tastefully styled, spit spot clean, and in the most charming and local neighbourhood, walking distance to all restaurants and sights in Ayvalik. Gulce and her parents was so helpful with every quote I had. I had an amazing time and could have not asked for anything else apart from more time... Thank you for your hospitality. Can’t wait to be back.

Ayvalık merkezde her yere yakın özenle dekore edilmiş harika bir butik otel. Odalar konforlu , iç dizayn çok zevkli , hijyen ürünleri kaliteli ve her ayrıntı düşünülmüş. Kahvaltı lezzetli, yeterli çeşitlilikte, sunum şık. Şebnem Hanım ve kardeşi konakladığımız süre boyunca bizimle çok ilgilendiler. Sohbetlerinden çok keyif aldık. Misafirperverlikleri için çok teşekkür ediyoruz. Dalış teknelerine, güzel yemek mekanlarına ve yeni popüler olan macaron bölgesine yakın olması da büyük bir avantaj. Biz çok sevdik geldiğimizde yine burada kalırız.

The place is amazing overall in terms of location as it is near the sea coast and there are lots of cafes, bars and shops around. The room we booked was nice although the bathroom was too small so it would be a bit of a problem to maneuver for big people 😂. What I liked the most about Macaron Konağı was the backyard where one can sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I could sit there and do some work on my laptop. Thank you.

Stayed here 2 days ago and it was the best choice ever. Ayvalık is such a lovely place and Macaron Hotel with owner Mehmet is just the perfect combination. Highly recommendable hotel!

Beautiful boutique hotel of Greek origin. Original features kept. Patio garden to have your breakfast in surrounded by olive and pomegranate trees. Great breakfast made up of fresh bread and simit, cheeses, home grown olives, veg and cakes, jam's ect. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff they can't do enough to help. Exceptionally clean and well kept. Great location in the centre of the old town. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the front by the sea. Market day on Thursday's. Fabulous stay and looking forward to returning 💜

This is a magical place! We had breakfast in the garden! It was heavenly and saw few famous people there (Ceylan Ertem). Try it! This time we are gonna stay there soon!
