Pure Blanche Lara Hotel in Antalya

During my stay, I experienced two serious incidents involving the same night manager that I did end up having to report to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as I felt threatened and unsafe. ⸻ First Incident (Shortly After Midnight): • I was seated quietly at a corner table in the lobby hosting a live work video conference on my laptop. • I was actively leading the meeting when the night manager approached. • I was not intoxicated, loud, or disturbing anyone. • He interrupted the meeting, spoke loudly enough to be heard on camera, and stated that after midnight I was not permitted to use any part of the hotel except my room. • I explained that I was finishing a work call and that the WiFi upstairs was unreliable. • He demanded that I end the meeting immediately and move “now.” • It was pouring rain outside. I stepped into the outdoor smoking area to complete the call, and he followed me there and told me I could not remain there either. • I then moved to the public sidewalk in the rain and completed the conference standing outside with my laptop. • When I returned inside, he followed me upstairs to ensure I went directly to my room. I complied and did not escalate the situation. ⸻ Second Incident (Approximately 4:00 AM, Morning of My 5:00 AM Flight): • I came downstairs shortly before checkout to prepare to leave for the airport. • I briefly used the lobby restroom before departure. • While I was inside a private stall, the same employee entered the restroom and demanded that I leave immediately and return to my room. • He stated that I had “no business being out at 4am.” • I explained that I had a 5:00 AM flight. • He responded that I “paid for the room” and not the public areas, and instructed me to “use your room.” • He also stated, using profanity, that he did not want to clean the restroom after I used it. • I opened the stall door to explain that I was actively using the restroom and would finish shortly. • After I exited, the interaction escalated verbally on both sides. • He stepped very close to me, raised his voice, used repeated profanity, and raised his fist while gesturing aggressively. • I left the property shortly afterward, packed my belongings, and checked out. Afterward, he apologized to my mother but again directed profanity toward me. ⸻ At no time during either incident was I intoxicated, destructive, or violating any clearly posted policy. I was a paying guest hosting legitimate work meetings and preparing for an early morning flight. These interactions occurred in the lobby and hallway areas where security cameras are visible. I am sharing this account factually so future guests can make an informed decision.

From the moment we stepped off the elevator onto the dirty, stained, musty smelling carpet on the way to the room, hopes of a enjoyable experience were eliminated. The room reserved through ******* was not the room described. The room was very small, too small for 2 adults, no area for luggage, and an A/C system that turns off everytime the patio door is opened. The curtain rod was tied to the open clothes rack because it was pulled off the wall, dust webs in the corner of the room from not being cleaned, dirty laundry left hanging on the drying rods on the patio, & the bathroom door frame broken and rotting at the floor, & a light bulb needed replacement showing the room was not properly cleaned and inspected.

The information ******* had listed was not accurate. When I notified & showed the front desk the discrepancies, they told me the policies were old and they have not been revised in years (false advertising). Policies listed when I booked that the hotel did not honor: 1) Luxury Room - small, not large enough for 2 people
2) Swimming pool hours until 10 pm - changed to 7 pm
3) Breakfast buffet from 7:30 am to 10 am - changed to 8 am to 10 am, most of the food was not fresh & poor selection
4) No direct beach access or free cabanas-Transfer fee required to go to the beach
5) Airport shuttle is a taxi

The hotel is outdated, the kitchen staff is not friendly, the reception staff is pleasant, but overall this hotel ruined the trip. Horrible end to a vacation.
