The hotel only deserves 3 stars.
Many things are unusable and broken. The water slide, especially popular with children, doesn't work.
The dining room is musty, and the walls are damp. Only the air freshener spray dispels the musty, moldy odor in the room.
Likewise, the air conditioning in the rooms doesn't work.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were neither greeted in a friendly manner nor informed of anything. The reception was disorganized and rude – a completely bad start.
The room was in terrible condition: It smelled strongly of mold, the furnishings were old and unkempt. The "balcony" turned out to be a tiny French balcony that was barely accessible. The door lock was broken – the door could only be opened and closed with force.
The service was generally disastrous. The staff seemed disinterested, wandered around looking bored, and were neither approachable nor helpful. Our immediate request to change rooms was met with a surprised look and the excuse that the hotel was fully booked – even though there were obviously vacancies.
The food was of poor quality, some of it obviously not freshly prepared. Drinks were served only in pre-filled glasses – no service, no selection. Food and drinks on the beach and in the evenings were also only available for a fee – there was no sign of an all-inclusive package.
Overall, an extremely disappointing stay. This hotel has absolutely nothing to do with a 5-star standard. For us, it's a one-time, never-again experience.
