Reviews
I stayed at this hotel for a few days, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The hotel is right by the sea, and the view is truly amazing from my room, the pool, and even the breakfast area, I could see the beautiful blue sea. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
The hotel has its own private beach, which is very clean and not crowded. There are comfortable sunbeds and beautiful canopy beds near the sea, where you can relax all day. You can lie down in the shade and enjoy the fresh air and the sound of the waves – it was just perfect. The swimming pool is also fantastic : big, clean, and with a view over the sea. I spent hours just relaxing there.
The rooms are spacious, very clean, and full of light. I loved the big windows and the balcony with the sea view, it was perfect to watch the sunset every evening.
The staff were one of the best parts of the stay. Everyone was so friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything. They made me feel very welcome and comfortable.
Every morning, the breakfast was a real pleasure. It was different every day, with lots of fresh and tasty food for all types of diets. Whether you are vegetarian, eat gluten-free, or just like to try new things, there is something for you.
There is also a nice menu at the hotel for snacks, drinks, lunch and dinner. The food is good, the prices are very reasonable, and it is very easy and comfortable to eat there without going out. Everything is fresh and well prepared. You can be served to the beach too.
The location of the hotel is also excellent. It’s close to everything you need, but still very calm and quiet. There is free parking in a private street just for hotel guests, which is very helpful if you have a car.
I totally recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the sea. It is perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers. I know for sure that I will come back here again, it really felt like home.
I initially wanted to write a positive review because the first impression was good. The hotel area itself is good, with nice views and pleasant surroundings, breakfast is OK – but unfortunately, this is where the positives end.
Major Issues:
Poor Value for Money: For a Swiss-level price of $280 per night (for a family suite), you get outdated, low-quality furniture. The shower and toilet area had an unpleasant smell and visible scratches, giving the impression of a neglected public restroom.
Cramped and Uncomfortable Rooms: The family-suite rooms have low ceilings, and I often found myself bumping my head, which made the space feel uncomfortable despite the room’s size.
Not Worth the Price: The price simply does not match the quality. I’ve been visiting Turkey for over seven years, and this is the first time I’ve felt genuinely disappointed by a hotel. The hotel claims to be a “luxury” 3-star establishment, but the reality is the complete opposite.
For the price you pay, you’d expect at least complimentary tea or coffee at the bar, but these are charged separately. Most hotels in Turkey offer this as a courtesy, especially considering how inexpensive tea is.
While most of the staff are polite and helpful, the person at the reception was incredibly rude. Just 10 minutes after our checkout time, she came up angry, demanding we leave immediately, and even refused to let us use the toilet after checking out.
Lack of Backup Power: During our stay, there was a power outage. Unlike neighboring hotels that have generators and continued operating, we were left in the heat with no AC, no lights, and no internet. All we could do was listen to the loud generators from next door.
Pros:
Beautiful natural surroundings
Nice beach
Comfortable sunbeds
However, the negatives far outweighed the positives:
Rooms are old and poorly maintained. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, so after taking a shower, water doesn’t drain properly and causes an unpleasant smell that lasts all night. The furniture is outdated and squeaky.
Mosquitoes at night are a real problem, and there are no mosquito nets on the windows.
Staff communication is poor – very limited English, and service is substandard. The receptionist was clearly overwhelmed and couldn’t manage all guests alone. Room cleaning was only done upon request.
Staff attitude was disappointing overall – 2 out of 5. They seemed to act like was doing us a favor by working there. The staff has to be kind but you will not accept good attitude from her 🥲
Breakfast is average at best – not very diverse (3/5). Very basic. In Türkiye a lot of good and tasty products, but they serve the cheapest one.
Simply tea and turkish coffee outside of breakfast are charged extra, which is absurd for a hotel at this price point. It’s not about the money – it reflects the management's lack of hospitality.
Beach food is overpriced and tasteless. Definitely not worth the money. Burger is 500 tl 🙄🙊 So crazy!!! Better go to Zaika and try excellent kebab in the evening.
This hotel does not live up to the price tag. Poor service, basic food, and outdated rooms. You're better off waiting for availability at neighboring hotels with better standards.
UPD: The answer to the manager who responded me.
There was only tea and Turkish coffee I've mentioned in my review which is charged, that is shame for hotel to get money from guests.
We didn't bring any stuff to the beach, except water with vitamins for pregnant woman. All beverages we took in a fridge and paid for them. But your English knowledge didn't let understand the receptionist to understand that. Or I can't eat my food and drink my beverage in the room??? What the fridge is for then?
We booked rooms for 8 people and had 4 sun beds, what is wrong?? Before we had 2 sunbeds. We couldn't stay at the beach the whole day? Or we had to pay for it also?
So, everyone, make conclusions about attitude of the staff of the hotel. No sorry for hygiene and cleaness in room numbers, and even no kind words before leaving a hotel. Or these are also the responsibilities of receptionist?
Now the beach is something else. The crystal clear cold water is nice to be in.
The pool is small and I didn’t use it and you probably wont either since the clear sea was much nicer to be in.
The staff is small and very kind, its not a like a big chain hotel with servers every where.
The staff’s are really nice and friendly.
We will defenitly coming back! We thank Mahmut Bay and Ece Hanim for the good service. Family Koç.
