Reviews
Check-in was delayed for almost 45 minutes, and when we asked about the delay, the staff ignored us, behaving as if we were staying for free.
During check-in, an elderly man had to shout at the receptionist in Arabic to get attention, which clearly shows how unprofessional the staff were.
At checkout, the same receptionist again delayed the process and wrongly charged us for soft drinks that we never consumed.
This is unacceptable behavior and very poor customer service. I do not recommend this hotel unless management improves staff attitude and service standards.
The receptionist seemed lethargic and unresponsive, which resulted in long wait times. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and efficiency, particularly during the check-in process.
I kindly request that you consider replacing or retraining the receptionist to improve the overall check-in experience for future guests
I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at Al Sharq Hotel. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because they offer free parking. Upon arrival, I parked my car and handed over my key to the staff as instructed. At that point, my vehicle was fully under the hotel’s custody.
Shockingly, on the same date and time, I received a police fine for illegal parking. I was confused because I hadn’t moved the car — it was with the hotel. When I asked the staff about it, they casually told me it must be a mistake and assured me not to worry.
Still, I took the initiative to visit the relevant authorities to verify the fine. To my surprise, it was legitimately issued because the hotel staff had parked my car in a prohibited area.
When I returned to the hotel and explained the situation, hoping for a resolution, I was met with extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing concern, the staff bluntly told me to “go complain to the police” and said they couldn’t help.
This was not only irresponsible but completely unacceptable. I trusted this hotel with my property, and their negligence directly caused me a police fine and a lot of stress. On top of that, the dismissive and disrespectful attitude from the staff made the situation even worse.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially if you plan to use their parking services. If something goes wrong, don’t expect them to take responsibility or treat you with basic courtesy.
If anyone needs proof of this incident, feel free to contact me — I have the full conversation documented.
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the behavior of your hotel staff. Their attitude has been extremely rude and unprofessional, to the extent that they are not even worth speaking to.
I have been staying at your hotel for the past week, and not only that, I also recommended your hotel to my family and friends, who have also shifted here based on my suggestion. Unfortunately, due to the disrespectful and inappropriate behavior of your staff, we have all decided to leave the hotel.
As a customer, it is my right to raise a complaint when I am treated poorly. I will also be leaving an honest review on Google to inform others of this experience.
I hope management takes this matter seriously and ensures that such incidents do not happen with other guests in the future.
On the negative side I spotted three cockroaches but this might have more to do with the neighbourhood. The area is littered with trash on the streets and open garbage bins. While there are very good shopping outlets and you can pick up some bargains, this rubbish is everywhere is a big issue.
If you are planning to stay I would suggest you plan your check-in when the traffic isn't bad. For Sharjah that's always tricky because the roads are so badly designed. It took me 30 minutes to get from Al Quasais in Dubai to the hotel (about 12kms) at 8.30pm
Overall AlSharq is a decent place with (guest parking too) and good value at the price I paid.

Staff are respectful.
Rooms are fine but the service is what you have to ask for.
