Me and my family experienced a rather bizarre situation while staying here for 4 days, in May 2019.

During checkout, an administrator noted that 3 pieces of glassware were absent from our rooms. They claimed its total cost to be 150 UAH, or 6 USD. A quick "investigation" on our part led to a happy confession by a restaurant waiter - they took our precious glasses by mistake. You see restaurant serves food and drinks to rooms too. Having checkout done, we stayed for a coffee and desserts. 1.5 hours later:

1. An exit gate was closed in front of us. We were blocked by security personnel and were told to resolve "an issue" with their office first.
2. It was demanded of us by an administrator and a cashier to present the missing glassware. Was I supposed to go and fetch them from restaurant's kitchen? Apparently that's what they had in mind.
3. They refused to check this matter with the restaurant themselves. By this point we learned that this office manages the whole complex, including the poor restaurant in question.
4. "You should know the rules", we were told, in a refreshingly scary hotelier voice you will not hear anywhere else. "You should apologize!". Rude and unprofessional? An instant "A" score.
5. It was a hot day, and for 30 minutes our car was forced to stay under a direct sunlight, with a small child inside. We could not leave. It wasn't exactly a kidnapping, but still a criminal offence in Ukraine and most everywhere else in the world.

Eventually they realized their mistake and doubled-down by saying harshly "you can leave".

P.S. - I was spending 250 USD per day during my stay here. This place must be operating on a very low profit margins to be so adamant about a cheap 6 USD hotel glassware they knew was still somewhere on their premises.

Very poor service as for this price!!! Especially in restaurant.
