Solva Resort & SPA in Polyana

Tired, very tired hotel… In everything: territory (although it’s still beautiful); rooms: everything is old; food is poor and often poisoned… A lot of homeless cats, whom the head of the hotel forbids to feed and gives an order to the security of the hotel to kill them, while they are blind, or throw them away 🤦‍♀️😡😡😡 They do not even try to use humane way of solving this problem - sterilise animals. During 2.5 weeks of my being there I fed all 10 cats 3 times a day, took from there young cat’s mother with her 2weeks old kittens, whom she brought to me to the place, where I fed her few days… Of course, I saved them all ant took from that awful place. Now mother cat and all her 3 kittens are in lovely families. I paid for the sterilisation of the mom, when she stopped feed the kittens. Also I’ve paid for the sterilisation of 2 dogs an 3 cats, while I’ve been there. Also I’ve found few women, who continues feed all that cats, which are still there, out of the hotel, for the money, that I’ve sent them during 1 year… But those old women couldn’t catch those cats to sterilise. I asked them to do this. I was ready to pay for everything. But they couldn’t. And now I stopped sending money there, cause I have a lot of saved animals, whom I should treat and feed, at my city. But what I want to ask: PLEASE, everyone, who will decide to visit this hotel, take there food for animals and take from there at least one kitten or adult cat, whom you can. Or they will die there from hunger in winter or will be killed by wild animals, or by Victoria - the head of this hotel 😥😣😡

I am completely disappointed with the service of this previously beloved hotel, I planned to stay for 3 weeks, but in the end I somehow managed to survive a week, I will tell you straight out how it is, for a lot of money - there is nothing to eat, buffet-type breakfasts are very meager, people stand in line, breakfast lasts 1 hour, if you do not eat meat or fish like me, there is no meat in this five-star hotel, there are fried chicken wings and sausages and you still need to have time, people are forced to stand in line. Cleaning of rooms - this does not exist here at all, 4 days have passed and every day you go to the reception with an order to clean the room, in the end they just gave you fresh towels and, thank God, they took out the trash. The restaurant is not working - that is, I was ready to order something from the restaurant menu for an additional fee, but they said that because the chef is fully loaded, there is no time, that is, they take money, fully loaded. My family and I traveled 1000 km to have a rest but we were completely disappointed, when you arrive you won't be met with your things, you will have to load your things into the elevator yourself which gets stuck and just gets nailed by the door, this happened in front of the administrator who didn't even complain. The tavern on the premises is not working and you have to leave the hotel just to eat. The hospital is also a complete mess.

I do not recommend.
It used to be a good complex, now it needs updating, care, change of management, and marketing in working with clients.
We rested in February and April 2021, the complex was almost empty, the hall, restaurant, locker rooms, not heated, the area is neglected, the tiles fall off, etc.,
- Junior suite, good but the mattress needs to be replaced, it was not possible to lie down
-cottage on the stream is very beautiful, there is a terrace, but the fireplace in the cottage did not work, the toilet has no window so the smell is not fresh, sometimes it was heard in the room.
In general, breakfasts are small, but everything was fresh, but the restaurant where they sat was completely cold, not heated, it was not comfortable. You could not order any cakes or desserts. There are no waiters, the reception staff served, which accordingly took more time.
Mineral water was served in decanters that are not airtight, who, what and how poured there and then drank, it is not clear that it is unhygienic.
Very nice fireplace room, with chairs and tables, but the fireplace was not lit in May, because the hotel was empty, and we were not taken into account :( there was no firewood.
Pool, beautiful and warm water there are whirlpools and Jacuzzi, the pool was warm, good sunbeds, music, towels, there are two saunas for an additional fee. But the locker rooms are another quest, they were completely cold, that after a warm pool it was not comfortable and you can catch a cold.
Unpleasant moments from the administration spoiled our impression of rest and birthday. We celebrated a birthday, and paid for the hut, which by the way was also very cold, we sat in clothes.
We were asked to tidy up the playground, but we were denied and told that it could not be used yet. We stayed for 3 days, eviction at 12, the hotel was almost empty, except for us was occupied as much as 1 room., But we were asked to vacate the cottage, or surcharges, an hour stay 300 UAH.
It was very unpleasant, we asked to give us the opportunity to stay until the evening, but the director, a woman on the phone refused us, as if guests should come. We left and went swimming, after that they took more money from us for the fact that we swam another + 300 UAH.
With a completely empty hotel, despite the fact that we left there a considerable amount of money, it was the last straw. After this approach, any desire to come on vacation to Solva disappeared :( that is, a cold restaurant, locker room, non-working fireplace…
We had to accept all these shortcomings, and the hotel removed additional payments from us.

By the way, when we left the hotel, and it was after 17 o'clock, the cottage was free, it was not even cleaned, it was visible on the terrace. We recommend changing the director, restoring the hotel so that the price corresponds to the declared quality, as well as recruiting staff.
Very nice complex, territory, design, place where you want to go back and relax, but because of the policy of the administration, the director, if I remember correctly. you lose customers.
The only positive was the reception staff, who tried their best to make up for the rudeness of the administration and the lack of staff.
