The Rising Sun in Bristol

Lovely pub with rooms. Great room accommodation, excellent staff and lovely food! Will definitely return when flying from Bristol airport.

Amazing room, very well decorated and everything thought of, comfortable stay and will return and recommend. Not far from Bristol airport so an ideal stopover if planning a trip from the airport . Nice en-suite, tv, tea coffee facilities, radio and very comfy bed

Ideal place before flying from Bristol airport. Room was excellent and the staff superb. Would certainly use again.

Great food with gluten free iptions - available all day. Lovely spacious room and bathroom and staff were most welcoming and helpful. The only downside was road noise - our room was roadside and we stayed saturday night. Maybe it would be quieter mid week tho i dont know. Otherwise a great inn.

Could not fault the actual room, the pub itself and the staff. Room was squeaky clean, even with a cafetiere. Niggles 1) the "Roberts" radio had a great tone etc, but needs instructions
on how to use it; otherwise as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike! 2) bedside alarm clock was not working... the battery was not properly installed. 3) restaurant opening hours were odd....closed until 8pm? Menu was not inspiring, a little confusing? All in all, a good place to stop-over....although clearly not aiming for the budget-conscious traveller....oh, and the beers were excellent, even with real ale....

This was an overnight stay while working locally and this place was chosen for its location and the fact that it’s a pub as well. The room was nice but could do with some TLC but I was very comfortable. The bar area was a little cold but I soon warmed up with the lovely food that was on offer and the staff were really friendly and helpful which is why I would recommend this place to others thinking of staying here.

I have to say the room itself was mediocre - lovely decorated room but not that clean and very noisy if you have a room facing the road. However the noise can't be helped as I am guessing it is a listed building which is why there is no double glazing? This can also be solved with ear plugs ! This said I have given 5 stars to my stay here reflecting the fantastic staff plus amazing home cooked food. It was a wild Tuesday evening and had to stay somewhere overnight after a delayed flight. We chose The Rising Sun trying to avoid soul less chains and it offered free parking. We could not have been looked after better. I travel a lot for work and I have not experienced such friendly, welcoming and professional staff in months - namely Molly and Pete. Plus the food was tip top - both dinner and breakfast. They guy serving the breakfast was also awesome. Kudos to you all and thank you again.
