Land O Nod Inn in Eureka Springs

Something has changed in the hotel/town in the past few years. It is not the same place as the pictures anymore. It looked like a great place but recently it’s all taken a turn for the worst.

The owner/manager are disorganized. There is no front desk. This is not a functional operating hotel. It’s turned into some type of shady low income no background check housing for people flying under the radar. Half the place is vacant/abandoned and only the building in the center is being used to house these people. Very shady place. One of the other gentleman staying on the other side we were on was involved in some type of human trafficking escapade. He had one woman locked up in his room the whole time we were there only finding this out after we left and another who was so drugged out she would just wander around in circles in the parking lot or do laps around the balcony disturbing everyone else staying there. She had no shoes, the same clothes everyday and hadn’t showered for weeks. He’d be gone all day and when he’d come back she’d be allowed in his room. They were definitely up to very dark things in the place. My wife and I ended up having to flee this place in the middle of the night because we caught this guy snooping around our room and later on when it got dark caught him trying to break into our room. We left immediately after that. The owner/manager was gone the entire time partying at the lake. The next day once we were in a different state the owner/manager asked us what happened and we explained the whole thing. She told us that the next day after we left that same guy that tried to break into our room attacked someone else on the property with a knife and the rest of the tenants had to intervene and stop him. It was a nightmare.

In 2025, these are efficiency units. Lots of room for children and dogs to play. Consider the price. You get what you pay for. Things can get very strange here very quickly and you may feel an urgent need to upgrade well before the end of your lease.

Me & Husband was trying find a stay here is Eureka Springs. We stopped here because of name.

The lady told it was originally an apartment not hotel. But they had room that they rent out to people for minimum of 3 nights or more.

All the red flags why we didn’t pick this location.

- 1st she just wake up & some type migrant headache because of this she expecting us to call the number for quote . Very upsetting you don’t ask potential customers to do your job!!

- 2nd while she was showing the room she keep complaining how she wasn’t planning for any more people & wanted drived home .

It’s was like if she had issues with us possible staying why even bother even showing it to us.

We will both took a hint they this place wasn’t very welcoming to potential new customers. So we stayed at another location that was more welcoming.

Most unique feature was that it was closed and falling apart

BEWARE! DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. Booked the stay 6 months ahead of time, even got confirmation email a few days before we were to check in, arrived to property and it is completely deserted. Not a single light on on the entire property. Had to stay across the street. Property is completely abandoned. Nice lady at hotel across the street texted a (former) employee and she said property sold and is obviously vacant. ******* needs to take it down immediately.
