I booked here due to location to concert venue and the low cost. I will say the cost is low for a reason. The staff were very kind but the rooms were definitely run down and there were vines growing in from the windows. There was also only shared microwaves for all guests to use and they were pretty disgusting. I did appreciate that the door had a deadbolt and the front desk was open 24/7 and it's attendees were very nice! It did have wifi and a pool although I never saw anyone use the pool.

I shoulda read the reviews before booking on Capital One. For paying over $100 per night, I would have at least hoped they would've put in a little effort to cleaning it. Lots of hairs everywheres and blue toothpaste around the sink drain. C'mon guys. Take some pride in your place. At least the shower was hot.

If you JUST need a place to crash this is a Great choice.
Room: the bathroom has mold on the ceiling
Service:The Pool, and bar are closed. We had to pay a $100 CASH ONLY deposit.

Stayed here for a concert, last minute booking, it was close to the dome, but let me tell u, staff is very very rude on top of can barely understand because of the hard accent, very disrespectful man behind the counter. Initially the front/lobby door is locked, so i called to asked how to get in so we can make reservations, apparently i have to book online first then they will let me in 🤯 very incovenient for ones thay cant book online or phone had died ( which i know it be rare but thinga happen) so i went and booked and called again that o already have reserved, had me waiting cause theyre system was slow, it didnt show up yet and when it it did he i asked under what name, he said there is nothing cause apparently he was reading the wrong named or pronouncing it wrong, so long story short he found it, so then i asked if we can come in already, and said to come to the door and i was like we are the door, he said no youre not youre sitting in your car, im watching you ( which is parked literally infront of the lobby door) No courtesy, not friendly, no guest realtion rapport , very disrespectful and it goes on as all the verifucatiin continues, we wont have time to go drive around or shop online for another place so we were like, its only to sleep in so ignore him.
Then we proceeded, whole place is very outdated, pool is green, room has space but again needs update, towel racks has rust, bed was uncomfortable and tiny, literelly for one person, its not for couples definitely, the air vent has web and spider in it....
Definitely wont do it again.

If i could give this hotel, well motel, well I cant even call it that, this dump a zero star i would. The place does not look like the pictures and lets say it did the customer service there is non existent! I was waiting outside the front door for about 20 minutes without being able to go in, after we were buzzed in without an apology the front desk guy had to reset our room key to be able to upen our room door half asleep the man did it without wanting, I mean Jesus coming from Miami to try to have a good experience in Long Beach this is NOT the place to go to and aside from everything they ask you for a $100 cash only deposit idk this place is so shady, ugly and very nasty. The rooms are terrible beds are full or cigarette burn holes the bathroom is dirty and they claim to have a pool with a bard and restaurant... lieeeeesssss. Will never be going back there

Very disappointed. Wouldn’t even give tradewinds a star. Checked in, walked into my room, smelled like marijuana, couldn’t breathe, told the front desk, was told to contact Priceline to get a refund, Priceline stated they would give me a refund, haven’t received it, called Priceline back, they wont refund me, was told me to call Tradewinds, Tradewinds refused to refund me even though I didn’t even stay there. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Staff not accommodating, location totally sketch, and stinks in more ways than one.

There's plenty of different reviews but mines is the honest truth it's a great place to be at reasonable and clean the rooms are like being in your own apartment the employees are all frendly and at least 2 of the receptionist are a little too comfortable and have forgotten why there working behind the desk. But the ambience is really great there's so many people around that it a beautiful thing to see everyone getting along so well and he heated swimming pool is the thing that makes it all happen . I came for a week and have stayed on for an extra2 more weeks oh the rooms are clean and spacious with mini fridge and I'd love to live here but I have to make it back to work if not this would be my new apartment in Los Angeles.

An American working poor oasis in Los Angeles. Compared to nearby options, it's quite amazing what is offered for this price. One bedroom apartments for the price of a "pod" not too far away. Sure there are lots of people writing negative reviews. Who are those people, booking the cheapest accommodation with 50 miles - then complaining the place isn't at least a 4 star hotel? They are not writing about this hotel, they are complaining about there own lives. Go for it. Stay here. Experience the America of all those film noir movies you love.

This place is absolutely terrible!! Blood on walls, mold in shower, COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE!!! Fridge didn't work, 2 inch puddle of water in front of door. Doors were being slammed all night. Very scary looking people just hanging around. My husband was offered to buy drugs. I was double charged for the room because they said I stole everything not nailed down. They also said I was still occupping the room even though I checked out 5 days ago.. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!! If negative stars was an option it would be negative 10

Any review you've ever read about this place is true. The place is old and smells. The front desk clerk was nice to me, but I was definitely polite to her, so she didn't have the opportunity to be rude. Got my room, which looks like something that is rented by the hour... When I walked in the room smells with old mismatched furniture. The couch was an old red/maroon velvet couch that I wouldn't dare sit on and then 2 red chairs that are clearly for outside. The curtains are something that you would be something you would find in your dead grandmothers cedar chest. Then to the bedroom...there was a round lumpy bed and 2 flat pillows with again a floral blanket and a "fleece"blanket underneath from probably the same dead grandma cedar chest. I didn't dare sleep under the blanket and luckily the weather was decent and I had brought a blanket from the airline. The saving grace...a clean bathroom with hot water, very hot water....thank you Jesus. Then my room was located next to the bar restaurant, so I got to hear all the action. Luckily it's only open in the mornings and then again from 6pm-10pm, but still, people can get drunk quick in a 4 hour time span. So on my 2 night people who having arguments and shoving each other out of the bar, etc... you know typical bar stuff. I left most of the day but when I came back in the evening, I had swipe my card to get in, which is great to keep the guests secure, but when you walk in the lobby and their are drunks passed out in the chairs what good is it. One man was still in the same passed out position when I left at 1pm and returned at 2am...like really!?! Then I go to my room and outside are a bunch of drinks smoking weed, drinking malt liquor and listening to music at Max volume. I booked the room through Priceline and called them at 3am to air my grievances and to see what my remedy was to get out of there without penalty.... sadly no remedy. On the last day I got up for breakfast.. which they advertise a complimentary breakfast...it's not. You get a complimentary muffin and coffee...that's it. I ate there breakfast special that day for $10.99 but it's nothing to write home about. You could walk to the burger king down the street for something better. This hotel is advertised as a backpackers paradise...no. I just got back from a 14 day backpacking trip in Thailand staying at hostels, this was definitely not a paradise, with the exception of a hot shower. They do have complimentary transportation to the airport 24hrs in a fancy bus limousine but then it's littered with obnoxious signs to top the driver... really!?! I'll never be staying here ever again...pay an extra $20-50 and stay somewhere else.

My wife and I came here for our baby-moon and I almost walked out once we stepped in the door. The place is very hard to see from the road and nobody gets greeted when entering unless you count "can i help you?" in a tone that seems that I am an inconvenience to them. The lobby is old and tattered and smells of smoke. Homeless are always walking through the lobby and hanging around the pool.
At the airport we waited an hour and a half for the shuttle after calling twice. The first call was made after an hour of waiting only to get yelled at that it was on its way and they immediately hung up. The last night in LA we called for the shuttle from the bus station and we stood for three hours in our beach attire for it to arrive.
The staff were very rude and had no customer service experience at all. As my wife and I waited for check-in, we heard the ladies behind the counter cussing at each other and talking about some of the guests referring to them as d**ks and trash.
Once check in came, i walk up to hear them say "you don't have a reservation here." I had to go into my email and pull up a receipt to prove i had already paid for the room. I put down a $35 deposit (which to date have never seen again) and asked where the room will be. She responded with "somewhere up stairs. If you look you will find it."
The rooms had shutter windows that never closed so the mornings were freezing and nights we could smell the pot and cigarettes along with the noise from the bar. The homeless wander around and are always trying to look into the windows for empty rooms. The bathroom stunk of moldy drains and the floor next to the bathtub was literally falling in. To shower, we had to step a foot over the falling floor so we wouldn't break through. The sheets were a dirty brown and stained. The comforter and pillows were very rough to touch and smelled bad. We went down for the continental breakfast which was a blueberry muffin and one cup of tea or coffee. Any more would cost a good price. I always pack my own soap when I travel and I'm glad I did in this situation. The shampoo in the shower was just hand soap in a wall pump along with another next to the sink.
The positives, on the other hand, was the plane spotting from this location along with a good pizza place across the street. Weighing the positives with the negatives, we will defiantly stay elsewhere our next trip to LA.
