The front desk was super friendly. My issue was the location of our room. It was right next to the door leading outside to the pool. So all I heard all morning and night was that door clanking shut. Even with a sound machine on, the sound of clanking doors gave me a headache and I couldn't sleep. So just don't get a room by a door that people will be going in and out at all times.

The sanitation and environment are all good, there is a swimming pool, vending machines at the front desk. It is not far from the beach.

The room is old, probably because it is close to the beach, and the carpet is damp! Parking costs an additional $13.

Good location, quiet. Not many breakfast varieties. Not far to walk to the beach. Heavy fog.

The elevator sounds like it’s going to break, Air conditioner is poor and bad odor.

The room is spacious and bright, clean and tidy, suitable for business trip
Although it is close to the sea, the hotel is well maintained and there is no feeling of humidity at all
Breakfast is also ok

30 minutes late on a reservation. Manager was condescending and explained, "guests run late eating sometimes, and you wouldn't want me to kick you out would you?!" Other restaurants have guests stay late and can accommodate reservations in a timely fashion. Unprofessional putting the blame on me or the guests that are currently seated, when it is clearly a management issue. Food might be good, I wouldn't know. I didn't stay to find out. Go here if you don't mind waiting longer than your reservation slated time. Wouldn't recommend.

Update: Nov 16, 2017. I contacted the link they sent. I guess we'll see what happens.

Update: Nov 24, 2017. Haven't heard back form them. Sounds like it is just 'lip service' to make them look good on here...

We celebrated my twin boys 11th birthday here last Sunday and it was great! The hostesses at the front were smart and on top of everything. We had 2 chefs, one for the kids table and one for the grown-ups and both were completely amazing...stay for the onion volcano! The food was good and the ambiance was perfect. Our server was incredibly attentive and put up with us...I'm sure we were a handful. The servers led the birthday song, they were adorable. The photos were an added treat. Can't thank them enough for the happy memories we will always have thanks to Benihana Carlsbad!

Came around 9 in the evening and was greeted and seated promptly. After we place the order, only waited for like 10 to 15 minutes and our food was served. Our server was so nice and sweet. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

The original Teppanyaki place. The food is great here and they make some good specialty drinks. I could easily just fill up on their fried rice.
