An absolutely wonderful stay. The manager is one of the most friendly people you've ever met. He clearly values the opinions of his guests and makes an active effort to ensure a quality stay for his guests. The black-light ceilings, the hardwood floors, and the multitude of mirrors make this hotel room memorable in the best possible way. Each room also has a coffee maker as well as large mounted TV's. If I'm ever in Long Beach again, this is where I'd stay in a heart beat.

The room was clean, the bathroom was cleaned. It smelled sanitized. Warning there is no guest lobby. Even though neighborhood kind of shady. We still walked across the street to Mcdonakds,taco bell and Winchels donuts. This is a place to drop your bags and go do stuff. Bring your own comforter, and the bed is not comfortable. But we only stayed one night. $95

room smells like, you know when you go number 2 and it sits there for a few hours cause you forget to flush? Then you come back and it just has that stinky, musty number 2 smell? That's what the rooms smell like. But otherwise, the pictures are exactly what the rooms look like. Props for the hardwood flooring. Mirror as a bed rest so you can see yourself when you're doing it.

Very nice, very clean place to stay! Sheets were crispy clean white. Also liked the wood floors in place of carpet. The mural on the ceiling was a pleasant surprise! The own very friendly and helpful! So from a landscaper from Colorado we give a big.. THUMBS UP!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOOOVED THIS PLACE! ? MY BF SURPRISED ME WHEN HE TOLD ME ABOUT IT!! THE ROOMS WERE VERY VERY CLEAN, AND THE STAFF WERE SUPER NICE AND FRIENDLY. IM ABSOLUTELY COMING BACK AS SOON AS I GET THE CHANCE!! AWESOME PLACE!!????

Wonderful experience, we had a great time, the room was just beautiful, will be back again. Owner very friendly. It was a fun time, short walk to restaurants. See you soon.

After realizing how difficult it is to find clean, safe, cat-friendly lodging, we were so relieved to come across the Kearney Motel. There wasn’t any way to reserve a room online, however, the front desk staff was very nice and informative. We were able to quickly book a room upon our spontaneous arrival. The room was spacious and appeared very clean. I’m not sure if every room has one, but we enjoyed the unique, ethereal mural that was hand painted on the ceiling. The location wasn’t exactly welcoming but, we didn’t feel unsafe at any point. I would have given 5 stars but both my boyfriend and I left the next day with some unidentifiable bug bites on our legs. If you’re only staying in town for an evening, the Kearney Motel is not a terrible choice compared to some of the other motels Long Beach has to offer.

I made my reservation..paid online. Arrived only to see a "no pets" sign on the window. Then the gentleman, told me even if I let him sleep in the car, it was a problem. I begged him if I could use a restroom, since I assumed I would be checking in..and many places don't have open restrooms anymore. I had just traveled 5 hours. "NO," was his answer to everything. He said they just took over the business, and his boss might fire him. Then said the boss must have forgotten to change the site info. All BS..I found out later. Then he blamed the booking site..still comes up as "pet friendly!"

This place is a beautiful little Motel hit out in a quiet neighborhood and the manager is everything the reviews have been saying. He's very kind and helpful to his clientele and he goes the extra mile to make sure things are doing okay for his guest. The price is reasonable, and the rooms are clean and smell disinfected. It was a nice welcoming feeling to walk into one of their rooms he even showed me the black light that made the ceiling and the Stars light up. Never seen that before so it was fun. Nicely decorated with lots of big mirrors and the marble counters make the room look great. They may not offer a lot of amenities that other bigger Motel do but if you're only coming to sleep, watch TV, or just to relax this is the perfect place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I can't believe a little place like this is hid out so well but yet so convenient to McDonald's, Taco Bell, and other little restaurants along with Winchell's Donuts! I think if all you want is the basics and you get the opportunity to stay here you will not regret it. Thank you Kearney Motel. Loved your roses as a place to pray early in the morning. You made my stay very very comfortable.
