Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco

The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-maintained with a fresh, pleasant scent throughout the property. The staff provide excellent service and are extremely helpful, always ready to assist with a warm and welcoming attitude. The location is great and convenient, the price is reasonable and offers good value for money, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing – delightful and beyond expectations. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, allowing me to relax and get a full, restful sleep. I felt safe the whole time, and the place was not intimidating at all.

On the first day of my stay, there was a power outage which delayed the check-in process, and I was quite upset at first. However, the staff kindly helped carry my luggage up to my room on the 3rd floor despite the difficult situation. Seeing how exhausted everyone looked, I couldn’t stay angry – they truly did their best, and I appreciate their effort and dedication.

Overall, it was a genuinely relaxing experience, and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for cleanliness, tranquility, great food, and heartfelt hospitality.

Excellent value for money, nice environment, and well-equipped facilities. It's only a few hundred meters from the seal spot, and they even offer dining discount cards.

The hotel promotes eco-friendliness by not providing any disposable toiletries, which isn't very convenient. It would be helpful if this was mentioned beforehand on the booking page. Parking was 60 a night, but the gate at the parking entrance/exit was broken at the time, so it felt like we could just park anywhere. Breakfast was pretty good though! 👍

Very close to Fisherman's Wharf, perfect for a vacation. There's a shopping center right across from the hotel, and it's super easy to get a Waymo cab.

5 minute walk to Fishermans Wharf so great spot. Big queue for breakfast so not so good.

+: Friendly and supportive staff team in general; Great variety of breakfast buffet options which is exceptional locally speaking. Good water pressure at shower.
-: The hotel seems to be renovated superficially but some fixtures are relatively aged which you can tell, e.g. bathtub tap was loosened almost came off, water pressure at wash basin was small, fridge is hot; door can't be closed smoothly.

They let us check in early at 3 PM (official check-in is 4 PM). The location is great; there's a Trader Joe's and a 7-Eleven within 2 minutes, and it's a 5-minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Getting a taxi to other attractions is also convenient. The facilities are average, and the soundproofing is terrible. I specifically requested a quiet room, but the Chinese-American front desk staff put us next to the pool, which was incredibly noisy! For several days, they only gave us two bottles of water in total, which felt really stingy. The room was standard but clean, though it didn't have a kettle. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, and there were dozens of people lining up waiting for it to open—I've never seen such a sight before! I recommend getting there early.

I would like to specifically commend front desk lady for their work and going the extra mile to assist with my request, etc. Even I CHECK IN use 2 hour so long, so i cant go the art museum 😭, but anyway i was extremely helpful and made me feel very comfortable during my stay.
The hotel facilities were excellent, and I particularly enjoyed swimming pool, nice breakfast restaurant, etc.Overall, my stay was extremely pleasant, and I would highly recommend your hotel to others.
