Rooms are standard Marriott level of cleanliness and modern aesthetic, but the doors to the bathrooms are heavy doors that automatically close loudly. The noise isolation between rooms isn't great either. We were woken up every 30-50 min from doors closing in adjacent rooms. I usually stay at the Marriott Marquis, and I don't think I'll be staying at the Union Square location again.

The USD $35 / night mandatory extra destination fee they charge during checkin is absolutely not worth it for us. Considering most hotel offer free WiFi and free bottle of drinking waters, the rest of the included items with this extra fee does not used by us.
