Carlisle Inn in Sarasota

Not just another hotel—the Carlisle Inn is truly exceptional!
Where do I even begin? First, the customer service is the absolute best we could have ever asked for. From the front desk clerks to the housekeeping team, everyone takes immense pride in their work and goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.
Second, this is hands-down the cleanest hotel I have ever seen—and I have booked over 20 different hotels in the past year alone. The moment you walk into the lobby, it is clear that presentation is a top priority. The property is gorgeous, and the beautiful artwork on every wall compliments the space perfectly.
We booked a deluxe room, and there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The space is immaculately clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and we have every amenity we could possibly as for. The hotel sits in the perfect location—stores, restaurants, and entertainment are all within 20 minutes, including our absolute favorite, Siesta Key Beach.
We still have two nights left, and I could honestly go on and on about how amazing this place is. Our next vacation will definitely be back in Sarasota, and there is no question where we will be staying. Thank you to everyone at the Carlisle Inn for making our family vacation so comfortable and enjoyable!

We just spent a fabulous week at the Carlisle. My husband, two children and I stayed in a double queen standard room and it was the most spacious, comfortable and clean area one could imagine. The property was beautiful with many quilt designs (as it is Amish) and kept in immaculate condition. They offered the most delicious home baked cookies from their restaurant everyday at 4 pm. Front desk and maintenance staff were extremely friendly, helpful, informative and courteous. A plus for hospitality. Shout out to Kelsey and Brenda ! The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and in a private location ( not overlooking the street and road). The baked goods and sliced breads given at breakfast were amazing as they came directly from the der Dutchman bakery on the property. The hotel had beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and sand toys which they lent out. Super helpful as we were traveling from New York. We even did laundry in their guest laundry room. It’s a short 18 minute drive to siesta keys - most beautiful beach in the US. Hotel is close to many shops - target, Walmart, dollar tree should one need to pick anything up. Close to very good restaurants - we enjoyed food from Columbia ( my favorite), Myrna’s ( great authentic Cuban), Cocoa bistro ( great authentic Venezuelan). We will definitely be returning to the Carlisle! Loved the hotel and Siesta Keys. Absolutely the best- the hype is real- White sand, warm water!

Our recent stay at the Carlisle Inn was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, we were welcomed with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. Every employee we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help.

The staff took the time to personally show us where everything was located, answered all of our questions, and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. It's clear they take great pride in providing excellent customer service.

Thank you to the entire team for making our visit such a wonderful experience. We look forward to staying at the Carlisle Inn again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and relaxing place to stay.

We found this hidden gem through reviews so we had to share for others. From booking to departure we cannot find a thing to complain about. We easily upgraded our room, for a reasonable amount. We have a washer/dryer combo which makes things so much easier. The front desk staff including Brenda, Rick, Gary and others whose names I can’t recall at this time, (so sorry) have been welcoming, knowledgeable and genuinely kind and helpful. The facility is immaculate and we don’t say that, ever! The room is spacious and the bed quite comfortable. The cleaning staff do a beautiful job and there again is nothing more we could want/need. The breakfast is manned by lovely staff and the food generous, comfortable surroundings and included with the stay. Just please leave a tip these folks work hard to make our stay even better than we could expect. Overall 5 plus stars and we will most definitely see this beautiful Inn again.

I’ve stayed in some of the best suites worldwide, and this hotel was one of the CLEANEST, I have ever stayed in!! Thank you the dedicated housekeeping staff!! From the moment you walk in it smells so good and my room was immaculate, not a speck of dust, not a hair, soo clean!! I loved the safety features like needing your key to get in the front doors late at night and having someone at the front desk all hours. The free breakfast is pretty decent (eggs were really good, and there’s a waffle maker among other options) and the Dutchman restaurant had good fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Not the closest stay to the beach but you can drive, uber, or take the trolley. Lots of parking, calm and clean pool. Staff is kind, but won’t speak unless spoken to. Lots of wheeled carriers for your suitcases but no help with bags. Overall, I would definitely stay again. Quiet, clean, relaxing, spacious rooms, comfortable stay!

The Amish Hotel has a very warm and considerate front desk. The interior environment is elegant and comfortable, and the hygiene is excellent. The interior decoration is very distinctive and it's a great value for the price.

The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the central air conditioning was very convenient and quiet – much better than most hotels in the US which have individual, noisy air conditioners. Breakfast included wolf cookies, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausages, and fruit, which was quite good. A very pleasant hotel experience.

Excellent welcome, very spacious and clean room. Hearty breakfast.

I highly recommend this hotel! The check-in staff greeted me warmly. The room was large, new and very clean. The breakfast was quite rich and the waffles were delicious. It was also quite close to Siesta Beach.

The room is large, well-arranged, clean and the service is good. It seems to be related to the Amish, but I don't know if it is managed by the Amish. It is not far from the most beautiful beach. Recommended! !
