bed is comfy sheets are nice rooms a decent size but not worth $285 has a motel feel to it plain hallways plain painted rooms. Just lacks finesse. Breakfast was good$15. The girl that's servess breakfast was fantastic to do breakfast service by her self.
Really nothing to write home about.
Stayed the Flor last time rooms are lot nicer snd so much more finesse. Would not stay here again.

Spent two nights pre-cruise at the Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk. The hotel is conveniently located right along the Canal and the Riverwalk is very quiet and relaxing. Rooms are clean and spacious with all the amenities (microwave, mini refrigerator, iron, ironing board) that anyone might need during their stay. Bedding was clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, modern with plenty of space. Concierge desk was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, prompt and professional in providing great customer service. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to the Cruise Terminal for guests staying at the hotel.

I booked the Barrymore over a month ago. Upon my arrival at 1am we walked into a room smelling like straight human urine. Nobody wanted to put their bags on the ground and nobody wanted to sleep. We wanted to leave immediately. It felt and looked dirty. We took out of personal blankets to lay down on and woke up early to find a new hotel. The situation completely ruined our plans as we actually went to stay in a different city because all the prices were outrageous due to gasiprilla. I am disappointed in the face that I paid 280.00 dollars for a room we stayed in for 8 hours. A hotel room should NOT smell like human urine! I hope the management can make this right and that nobody else has to endure that awful smell. I do want to say the women at the front desk were friendly and apologetic, the smell was not their fault and I made sure to let them know how kind they were and how much I appreciated their kindness

The outside and lobby is beautiful but once you go on the elevator and hallways to the room it gives rundown hotel vibes like Motel 6. I did not appreciate the dirty floors or that very ran down room. It gave a very switch and bait vibe. The outside is great, the lobby is nice, but the hotel is rooms and hallways are dirty. Save your money!

The location is nice. Right next to the boardwalk and not far from downtown. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are OK, definitely some wear and tear. The shower had little to no hot water. The hotel, as of Jan 2024, is being used as a university dorm. So I'm wondering if that is contributing to the lack of hot water. The restaurant connected to it doesn't seem to have adequate staff to function properly. They're nice, but one person for 15-20 doesn't seem to be enough.

Great food. Prices are reasonable. However the service was very very slow. The server was nice enough but barely checked on us. Be cautious and allow plenty of time.

Food was great and reasonably priced. Service was quick and continued to check in on me. The upside down pineapple drink at the bar is one of the best drink specials I've had in a while.

We have eaten here 3 times and none were especially good. VERY limited menu and poorly managed. The last 2 times the server said they were short staffed in the kitchen and on 12/3 we waited 20 minutes for their featured sangria because "they were out of wine glasses". It is so convenient to the Straz Center but this place is now off our list.

So we have been coming here for a while now and the food has always been good but the service has always been pretty slow. Over the last few times we have been here the service has been a lot faster and the food incredibly has became even tastier. We met the restaurant manager (Aaron) a few weeks ago behind the bar. Aaron has been making changes here that are going to keep us coming back. His drinks and creativity are outstanding. We just wish that you all had some sort of deal for the surrounding residents in the area as we live at one laurel place, walking distance from the restaurant. This is deffinately a great venue only getting better. Make sure you check it out and ask for Aaron or sit at the bar.

Went there last night before a show. Sign says to be seated so we waited only to be told to seat ourself. Waitress came and we ordered extra crispy hot wings with ranch. About 15 minutes later, a man came to the table asking what kind of wings we ordered...that is not so good considering that is all we ordered at that point!! Wings came in a bowl and was sat in the center of the table. Had to ask for 2 plates rather than my husband and I reaching to eat wings out of 1 bowl. Who eats wings like that? The wings had slimy skin with ZERO taste of anything. The hot sauce was watery and the ranch dip was the consistency of water as well. DO NOT ORDER THEM unless they stop watering everything down and prep. We ordered the burger based off of other reviews. I looked after how bad the wings were. It was just okay. May have tasted better if the bun was not burnt around the entire outside. I was not impressed and our first and last time eating there for sure.
