After reviewing different sites, we found it was less expensive booking through the a 3rd party site than an Airbnb. When we arrived, we were happily greeted by Chuck. He was extremely friendly and helpful. It's hard to find good employees, and this guy is a keeper!
Upon entering our unit, we were happy there were no bugs and it was clean! I will say, the room was definitely dated. I was envisioning an airy light decor. The kitchen had 1 pan and 1 pot with a lid. There was no can opener in unit or at the front desk. Something I think they should have. The couch was very uncomfortable. But we didn't mind because we spent most of the time on the balcony gazing at the beautiful water. What a view!
The bed was comfortable and the linens throughout were stainfree. We didn't care for the light coming through the bedroom curtains. It is extremely noisy as people talk, drunkly yell at night going by your room.
The pool area is nice and the bar is convenient. The drinks were expensive. We weren't allowed to charge to our room because they're a separate company from resort.
The fire pit and beach hut area was really nice. The fire pit and tiki torches and lights at the volleyball area go out at 10pm.
There's really no where else to go within walking distance. So stock up on food (don't by any canned goods without pull top) and alcohol and enjoy your getaway! We had a great time.

we had a disgusting room the carpet was ripped, it was old but still could have at least been clean....the bathtub was peeling...we couldnt even take a shower.
We came to go to a baseball game so checked in dropped suitcase off and left...didnt really look around until we got back that night and it was late and we just went to sleep. I have tried to get a response from mgr but nothing. Nice view if you can handle the gross room. I understand that its old but no excuse to give a room like that to someone just a few pictures to get the idea

I stayed at this location while I was in town for a football game. The location is perfect, the pool was nice, but there was a lot of construction. I was not given any warning and the crews worked through the night making a LOT of noise and my room was filled with the smell of adhesive or something of the sort. I spoke to the manager and he said he wold provide a comp room on my next stay and to watch my emails for something from him stating such. That email never came. After a few weeks of waiting I called and the receptionist remembered me and seemed surprise I never got an email. After three calls to the GM and three voicemails, I never got an email. Not only was this a lie, its shows how little they care about guests at their facility. I won't be going there again.....

My understanding is that these are independently owned units so mileage may vary from one to the next. I stayed in 279 and it was not great. The dishwasher backed up and leaked all over the floor and despite being told about it, no one came to fix it. The doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms barely open and shut. They need to be at least adjusted, but probably sanded/planed down on the ends so they open and close freely. The pots and pans were terrible, with teflon scratched and flaking off (which is carcinogenic). The knives were so dull they couldn't cut kiwi and ripe avocados without looking like they were chewed on. One bathroom was redone and nice, but the other was old and felt dirty. The exercise equipment available outside is suitable for women and old people but not for athletic males so don't count on a good workout. You can do dips and pullups but that about it for useful exercises. You can pound out some miles by going up and down the street that the hotel is on, but it's pretty boring. The problem is the main causeway isn't a road I would want to be running on if avoidable so factor that in. Everything is a bit of a drive, but the location isn't too bad in my opinion. Also, they give you $15 in credit at the restaurant and store, to be used each day. Water bottles are $3 ea and everything else is similarly priced. I got 1 bottle of water, a 1-load Tide packet, and 2 go-go squeezes...that's it. Another day I spent $10.50 of the $15 on one Rece's peanut butter cup and one almond joy...so those are apparently $5 each. Kind of outrageous. Also, our booking said we would get 2 bottles of water and 1 assigned parking space. Neither of those things happened.

Beware of this place. I made a reservation for 3 nights at $688. Pre paid. for December 10-12. Upon arrival I presented my reservation and confirmation. They said it was not in their system and refused to give me a room, It was 11:00 pm and I had to go find a new place to stay. But the charges remained on my credit card. They have no contact information to dispute it as it is through a reservation service they use.

My girlfriend and i stayed for 8 days. We loved it. Staying here is like staying in your own little apartment. The bedroom was separate from everything else, you have a full kitchen filled with dishes and a full size fridge, stove...and even a dishwasher.... From our balcony we could see the water and the volleyball area. They offer a menu from the place located on the property...great food...try the mango salsa and the taco bowl.. Highly recommended and definitely added to my traveling spots to stay.

The rooms are great with mostly fantastic views; a few of the rooms overlook a grassy inlet and other apartments. Parking wasn't easy, but we did manage to find a spot every time. The beds weren't uncomfortable, but they weren't anything to write home about. The bar needs more craft beers. But I would definitely stay here again for the view and location alone.

Awesome, reasonably priced place to stay when in Tampa... 24 hour security makes the parking area super safe. Great view of the bay, decent bar with good light fare, and a pretty good restaurant within walking distance -so no need to drive if drinking. Top notch

I have stayed at Sailport two years in a row, flying down from CT to visit daughter and son in law. I absolutely love Sailport. It fits the bill for all things required when away from home. Clean, safe, quiet, kitchen, location, friendly staff, reasonable price. Sure staying on an oceanfront or gulf coast would be great, but $300 a night is not in my budget. Hoping Sailport stays safe through Irma.
